1914 Bakery — Restaurant in Temecula

Cannot praise this bakery enough ! They made my wedding cake ( in Rochester NY) many years ago . We bought cake and pastries there for every occasion over the years. In 2004 my son got married in London- and he had to have the Gruttadauria cookies he grew up with for a wedding cookie cake - Linda took the order , and shipped them overseas. They arrived within the week. Not 1 cookie was broken in transit , they were packaged so well. We made the the tray up with a few hints Linda had given me . It was delicious & beautiful. I moved down South in 2011 . Missed this bakery so much we had items shipped a few times . Then this summer , another family wedding & again , had to have Gruttadauria cookies - Found they had moved to Temecula and ordered from Linda again , to ship cookies for the wedding in Atlanta ( wish we could have had a tier cake too ) . There is nothing that compares anywhere to Gruttadauria quality and taste. So thank you to Linda , Michael and your wonderful bakery for many years of enjoyment . If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. I am planning a wedding in Temecula and had a disappointing experience at another area bakery, so when I found 1914 online, Linda immediately squeezed my fiance and I in for an appointment since we had a tight timeline. She was very responsive leading up to the appointment. When we got there, she was kind, friendly, and welcoming, and she had a beautiful presentation that included photos, binders of options, and easy to read sheets/pictures of all the pastries. Save your appetite if you schedule a tasting! All of the desserts were delicious and Linda really works with you to understand what you want and give it to you within your budget. This bakery came with our venue package & I am so so glad it did because WOW. First, the cakes are so so good. We did a tasting a couple months before our wedding and everything was so good. Second, the owners are amazing and so nice! I spoke to Linda a couple times regarding our cake and what we wanted. It was very simple. We got a white cake w/ their raspberry filling & buttercream and we got it Naked style with no design, decor or florals. We were having a very rustic country style wedding so everything for the most part was a little more simple. My husband and I bought a cake topper for the cake and it was PERFECT! (The bakery put our topper on for us at the venue). We told Linda what we wanted just a few weeks before the wedding and she was on it & so sweet. All of our guests loved the cake!
