I know that every Del Taco is known for providing "quality food" at low prices, which is convenient.. This is only so when the food is actually of quality. Ordering just a jacked up value bean, rice, and cheese burrito (or a BRC), I bit into a not-so-fresh tortilla.. Who knows what else was in there that wasn't fresh. On another note, the first thing I noticed was that when I walked in, every table that was left unoccupied was absolutely disgusting. Crumbs, sauces, trash, etc, just left out in plain view for the customers to see. The manager himself had come to clean every table after he witnessed a half-done job completed by his employee. Now, when someone thinks of customer service, they think of someone that heartily welcomes every being that enters their "house" with a white smile and an enthusiastic tone. I'm sure you may assume what I could tell you next. There was no greeting.. Even as I walked up to the register, the cashier stood there and stared at me. I didn't know I wasn't welcome here? Read moreI went to this Del Taco to pick up my app order yesterday during my work break. My burritos chicken was raw it was literally uncooked ice cold and Frozen. Didn't realize this until I took a bite. Went back to this location they all joked and laughed told me I would be receiving no refund and I would need to go online for that. Despite explaining that the chicken was literally not cooked at all and Mexican guy there refused to identify himself none of the employees identified themselves and refused to get a manager when I requested one claimed that they were the general manager LOL wow I cannot believe what just happened. I will post the video I took of them on various social websites and I will make sure that the state of California investigates this issue further. I urge the owner to do the right thing otherwise I have already contacted the health department and they will be continuing this investigation soon. Also my little refund just got a lot larger..... Read moreI ordered 4 Del Tacos, and what I received for my money was an insult to me personally, as well as an insult to their corporate image as a desirable fast food restaurant chain. There is a picture below of what the Del Taco website promotes of what their Del Taco should look like. I have also posted the empty sorry excuse of a "Taco" they gave me. This was a drive through order, so they knew it would be difficult to check tacos without making a mess. This is not the first time this type of extreme skimping has happened. It seems to occur in about 1/3 of the orders placed here. I am always respectful and polite when ordering, so this wasn't retribution for my rudeness. This is either a case of bad management encouraging extreme portion controls to make themselves look good to corporate, or an incompetent careless employee that doesn't care about doing a good job. You would think that for $20 per hour they could find someone that would know how to make a Taco that looks like their own picture example!
