My wife and I have shopped this location many times in the past without an issue. Today on the other hand was quite different. We walked into the store with our baby in his stroller to make a return (with receipt) and immediately was profiled by staff and the heavy set security guard who was standing by the front door. As the item was returned we could audibly hear the staff talking about us over their headsets as we stood at the register. While I understand the need to be cautious with thefts and returns of items for fraud, there was no need to talk loud enough for us to hear them as we stand in front of them. The return was completed without incident and we began to walk around the store and noticed we were being followed by staff. The heavy set security guard walked to the back, Iâm assuming to check cameras as we walk around. When we decided to leave, the guard came back to the front and stood by the door. I purposely said goodbye and have a nice day to the guard who then proceeded to ignore me, turn his back and began talking in his mic saying we were leaving. Maybe this is just standard practice to loud mouth over the speaker and profile patrons or maybe itâs cause my wife and child are persons of color, Who knows⌠but as far as coming back to shop here, I guess we will see. Recommendations would be management trains their employees on how to handle situations like this discreetly so innocent shoppers donât feel attacked while shopping inside...

You know I hate having to leave bad reviews of any kind but sometimes enough is enough and quite frankly where I'm from customer service is just all together different in a much more positive manner. Your treated as a guest and that your business is appreciated. I have done my years of customer service and I can tell you every one of my guests left with a smile and felt welcomed and taken care of. Still to this day only its in dentistry. So if I can manage keeping my PATIENTS smiling and happy at a dental appt then there isn't any excuse for it not to be that way everywhere and it should be. I hope that the need for my negative reviews come to an end but it seems that it's the last resort to getting a problem solved after many other attempts. So thank you again for your time. Three customers in the shoe section had the aisles blocked with boxes of shoes all over the place and then they was sitting on the floor in the aisles trying on shoes and leaving them out of the boxes in the middle of the floor to the point were I was unable to look at shoes my size. There was no Nordstrom employees around to tell them that their actions was inappropriate for several reasons including most importantly safety.
I informed the security staff member upfront about the issue and asked for the tablet to make a comment. The security staff member never provided the tablet for my comment and walked to the back like she was correcting the problem. Apparently, she was trying avoided at all cost my comments regarding my shopping experience.
I find my total experience at Nordstrom's Rack to be very poor from the shoppers actions then how my request afterwards was...
