This place is really cute, and it's first impression was good enough that I was excited to come back a second time. The prices are a little steep and I don't know enough about coffee to tell you if its reasonable but I do know food - and while the scones are amazing and they're butters are always a perfect pair, the sconewhiches don't make sense. At $15 dollars for a tuna sandwich I would hope and expect something that doesn't tear in half the second it leaves the plate and becomes a salad after 1 bite. I had lightly mentioned this to the staff and they were quick to suggest the use of utensils, however - I feel as though scones and sandwiches are notoriously known for being finger foods and to imply that the best way to enjoy either is with a fork leads me to believe it fails at being either thing it's set out to be. The flavor of the tuna mix and toppings are actually really nice but it's immediately drowned out by an overwhelming amount of breadiness. Not to mention it's a small sandwich. All in all, I paid for a bad experience that left me unsatisfied to say the least and if it was my first time there I wouldn't have been as excited to come back as I was the first time I visited and just got a normal scone.
I really like this place and I want them to do well - however I feel like the addition of scone sandwiches takes away from what they're really good at and it feels like an attempt to reach a broader audience without much thought about how it pairs with the original menu. If sandwiches were something they wanted to keep I would suggest something like a ciabatta - it's roughly the same size bread as what I was served but meant to hold it's shape and doesn't require the use of utensils.
Long story short: If you're into sweets or craft drinks definitely give this place a try. But if you're into lunch or just want to make it through a bite without loosing half your sandwich - I'd find a...
Read moreSmall kindnesses: simple gestures that can unexpectedly elevate the day you are experiencing.
While it may seem as if they’ve become extinct during this current era, they still surround us (but often require us to maintain an open heart and mind in order to receive them).
The Crafted Scone is certainly a believer in small kindnesses. Just check out the personalized messages we discovered on the lids of each beverage ordered by our Review Team. “Smile”, “We ❤️ You A Latte”, and “Dance Today” are among the affirming messages you may also receive during your visit. What, is it the Christmas season already? Or is today “Be Kind To Other Humans Day?” Either way, you’re bound to benefit from a little infusion of giddy-up in your step when you visit this place.
Sure, a visit here is warranted (if for no other reason than the positivity), but have you gandered at their scones? During our visit the featured flavors included: Cranberry Orange, Double Chocolate, Lavender Lemon, Cherry Almond, Salted Vanilla Brown Butter, Apple Cinnamon Crumb, and Almond Coconut.
We had ours warmed before we enjoyed them and although I never considered myself “a scone guy”, I’m beginning to wonder if I may have been wrong about that.
Feeling adventurous? Then why not give a “Sconewich” a whirl? Those offerings include a Ham, Turkey, Caprese, Tuna, or Monte Cristo.
Gluten Free options are available and the menu rotates (so be sure to visit regularly).

Read moreI can’t tell you enough how amazing The Crafted Scone is!! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this place; I was walking around downtown Temecula with scones in mind, but I had absolutely no clue I would stumble upon this spot!
I was in town for a haircut (Austin at the Artisan Parlor!) and wanted to grab something for Mother’s Day. When I saw The Crafted Scone, my jaw dropped—the selection, their friendliness and the atmosphere is seriously unmatched! I took home five of the most amazing scones; earl grey, vanilla bean, maple, double-chocolate, and blueberry. The Crafted Scone has the moistest, fluffiest scones you could ask for with the most creative, best-balanced, sweet and savoury flavours! My mom said the earl grey was hands-down the best scone she’s ever had, and I whole-heartedly agree (except my favourite had to be the vanilla bean)!
I’m so happy I found The Crafted Scone, and I can’t wait to go back to try their...
