My mom and I went to Arizona Mills mall. Thinking to beat the heat well we thought wrong. We decided to stop and have lunch here at Garcia's, and considering how many empty tables were in there it sure took a long time to get a table. My mom didn't seem to be doing too well we've been up more than we could chew walking around the mall, and so she desperately needed a spot to sit, as she was really struggling with her heart. When we asked if she could just have a chair somewhere she could sit they looked at us like we were crazy. Here's my mom shaking struggling to stand up and it seemed like it really put them out to just just grab her a chair somewhere she could sit. That was really disappointed by that. When I tried to go over to the bar to get her some water the person behind the bar never even looked up and acknowledged me and they were just standing there not doing anything. The nice man sitting there at the table was like her you can have my water I haven't touched it I haven't drank from it nothing give this to your mom. So at least it was able to give her some water. Then when we finally did get a table anytime we ask our server for something it was like we were asking her to go on a scavenger hunt and how dare we ask for anything. She never came back to check on us when she put our food down and finally I ended up just paying at the table kiosk because she never came. I have to say this was probably the most disappointing experience I've ever had in a Garcia's. As for the food I always get a side of steak, a side of tortillas and a side of cheese. I know it's very boring I got it but that's what I like to make my own little steak burritos. Obviously the plate have been sitting under the warmer for a while because the cheese was melted in the cup and was like barely any cheese for this side of cheese. Usually I get a nice bowl full and this time was this tiny bit of half melted crumbles in the bottom of a bowl. Just sad just very sad. I have to say that if I ever go to Arizona Mills Mall and want to get lunch I will not be going back to...
Read moreSunday October 23rd me and my 2boys and my daughter went to Gacias for lunch. It was family day since I have been working every day for the last 6 months. I order the chicken quesadilla salad. When I got it the bottom of the salad was in water, the lettuce was brown and disgusting, the dressing was watered down and the 2 small pieces of chicken was on it was extreamly salty. I took two bites this is how I knew it was salty and watery, I told the waitress omg look at this and that is was gross. She apologized for it and offered me something else. I told her no thank you that the salt made me not want anything else. The manager came up to me placed her hand on her hip and said to me I heard you had a problem, I told her yes I did, did you see the salad and the dressing, I told her I couldn't eat it at all. She then argued with me in front of my kids and told me that is how the dressing is, I told her well I didn't like it and I have had dressing before and that was very watered down and gross. there was water at the bottom of the salad too. She then gave me a look and said well I am only going to take off a percentage since you ate some chicken. WHAT??? I took two bites. and you arguing with me in front of my kids about the salad REALLY!!! I told her I took two bites and that was it, there was two small pieces of chicken on the salad and she looked at me and said ohhh really , I then told her yes really. Omg I can't believe a manager would act like this to a customer and in front of there children. I asked her for the corporate number so I can call. She stormed off and 5 minutes later she smacked the card in front of me with a hand written name and phone number on the back of the card. I asked her if that is her name and she said its on there and stromed away. ...
Read moreWe’ve been here a few times and although it’s not the finest Mexican Cuisine in the Valley, it does enormously well in putting some very, very excellent flavors on the table and of putting together some offerings that are well worth the visit, especially while visiting the Arizona Mills Mall to whether visiting the IMAX or strolling the mall! You will definitely want to do your strolling after dinner to work off the calories though. Herein lies an incredible homage to ‘Tex-Mex-Mexican-Southwestern-American Cuisine! Your down-home, neighborhood Cantina, conveniently in a cool Arizona Mall. One of my fave starters here is getting the Coronitarita (many of us know it as a Bulldog) a Coronita beer inside a big glass of excellently prepared Margarita. Kudos, they make the best one in town. My better half always goes for the Royal Margarita! In the multiple visits here, we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying dishes such as: a delectable Carnitas of mouthwatering sautéed pork with a fab rendition of pico de gallo; the Trio Enchiladas of Chicken, Beef and Cheese with their excellent green sauce; the Chicken Tortilla Soup chalk full of tender chicken, with tomato and avocado, just the right amount of cilantro, along with the cheese, and the homemade tortilla strips, is always good. El Magnifico Sampler is a great bet since it gives the Garcia novice best of everything! Beef Chimichanga, Beef Taco, Cheese Enchilada, Chicken Burrito. And without saying, their servings include rice and choice of refried, charro, or black beans – choice of beans is something not offered elsewhere! We’ve come to a decision that this is pretty much our neighborhood Mexican go to place for lunch and dinner. Buen...
