The early morning staff and early morning time period, is the best time to visit this location. I've discovered that 2nd & 3rd shifts are not very attentive to maintaining a clean & welcome dining section.
Also, first shift has no tolerance for loitering, are watchful and actionable of those that use the facility to sell and/or use illicit drugs.
On two occasions I went during 2nd & 3rd shifts & the restaurant was unkempt, people literally laid on asleep on the booth seats and alot of non paying customers just lurking about. I even witnessed a paying customer sit his tray of food down and head to fill his beverage cup. When he returned, he discovered someone had stolen one of his hamburgers off his tray. Another non-paying, non-English speaking gentleman attempted to alert anyone that was listening but no one paid him any attention. When the victim of the hamburger theft returned to the counter stating he only had one burger on his tray, the employee stated that she in fact gave him two.
He appeared to be an ASU student from India and his English vocabulary was limited. Being that I saw the gentleman acting out the thief's actions & interpreted what he was saying, I mentioned to the employee that someone stole the man's hamburger & exited the restaurant.
After reviewing the tape, this was proven to be true. They made Rte customer another hamburger "this time", and advised him "if it happens again we're not replacing it. You have to keep an eye on your food, it's your responsibility once you receive your order".
If they did a better job of policing the dining area and keeping it free of non paying customers, enforcing the 30 minute time limit for those that purchase a soda/cup of coffee & 'hang out' at the facility; this possibly wouldn't have happened.
I routinely go there every morning for my daily iced coffee and have yet to not see employees constantly cleaning, mopping & maintaining a clean inviting dining area. I've also witnessed one employee notice frequentl coffee purchasers, that attempt to 'hang out' there; advise them that they must exit after 30 minutes.
The 4 star rating is for first shift ONLY!🙂
ADDENDUM:
Today, 7-20-25, at 10:30 am; I went into this location. There was only two customers inside eating. There's 3 booths against the wall that have electrical outlets. This is the area I generally sit to charge my phone. EVERY table was dirty to include food items on the seats/floor! The employee charged with cleaning the lobby was visible for less than 5 minutes, cleaning the glass on the doors. I had to go to him & ask for the first booth to be wiped down. Already in the vicinity and visually aware that all 3 were in need of cleaning, one would think that he'd handle the matter. NOPE‼️
Another matter I'd like to speak on is the fact that while first shift does a stellar job at keeping the dining area spotless & work hard to complete every order during this busy time of the day, the 2 female managers always look depressing and unwelcoming. The male manager is more welcoming appearing and even his tone isn't as unwelcoming as theirs.
HOWEVER, when it comes to ensuring no one loiters by advising them, "you've been here more than 30 minutes, you have to leave now"; there's one gentleman that routinely comes in with his Taco Bell food & drink items, sits at the booth to charge his phone and a female that orders her senior coffee & pulls out a book; that are NEVER ushered out the door and both stay well beyond 30 minutes‼️. It appears, to me, that a select "type" of individuals are only extended the invitation to exit the premises while being reminded that they've overstayed their unfriendly welcome.
This is the closet McDonald's to me and is within walking distance that's the only reason I visit here. However, many times I'll catch the bus farther away because I don't desire to witness the bias treatment and/or am not in the mental space to be privy to seeing or hearing the sour puss faces/voices of the 2 Hispanic female managers. It sets the mood...
Read moreI went in for my morning coffee on 8/4/25 & the never smiling female manager that's selective about who can stay more than the posted 30 minute limit & who is kicked out🫤, was working the register.
She NEVER hands your change or receipt to a certain group of people, despite the fact that you place your money in her hand when oaying❗️
She tossed my receipt to the edge of the counter and the breeze instantly set it sailing to the floor.
After she sat the coffee cup down, I stated I needed my receipt. While acknowledging it was on the floor, by pointing 👉🏽 to it; she stated "I gave you the receipt " & hurried to the back to complete orders. I patiently stood there awaiting her return & a nice customer asked if I'd like her to hand it to me. While I appreciated her offer, the matter needed to remain between the two people involved. I sensed her empathy, compassion & dislike for the encounter but neither of us are animals that retrieve items off the dirty floor‼️
Upon the manager's return to the front, she asked if I needed something else. I replied "yes my receipt." AGAIN she referenced the piece of paper on the floor, that by now has been stepped on numerous times.
I advised that I wasn't a dog that has things thrown to him/her & they fetch the item...not verbatim.
She went to the register and printed me a new receipt and placed it further away from the edge versus directly on the edge as she did initially.
If there was no problem with it being on the floor for the customer to bend and pick up, why didn't she bend & pick it up and ATTEMPT to hand it to me⁉️
Today's employees, in ALL areas of profession; lack customer service skills, professionalism, courtesy & compassion and the simple proper work ethic. I LOATHE the absence of the good old days when you looked the part, presented yourself in the proper public servant ethical manner, demonstrated appreciation for customers patronizing your establishment & you displayed same through your conduct & tone; because you understood that the customers that you're assisting, are the reason you have WORK to do at your JOB & you genuinely desired them to come again and/or speak highly of your business‼️
8-24-25 _ that's not the photo I added! Mine showed the receipt on the floor. Yelp prohibits editing from the establishment. Unfortunately however, Google allows it.
It's 6:47am and I just arrived to find the trash overflowing, filthy floors, food on seats! Do they not clean on weekend or simply don't care?
When Abigail & others from the weekday am crew work, you witness them constantly cleaning the dining and rest room, tables,...
Read moreThis location would have my full 5 star support, however, doing so would make me a liar due to a select few employees. Namely the loud, chubby Hispanic male. No need for a super-detailed description as you will immediately know who I'm talking about upon seeing/hearing him. The fact that this guy has maintained the same position for YEARS and has not been let go is beyond me and really says something about management as well. This guy's hatred towards homeless individuals is GLARINGLY obvious and he is not afraid to express it by any means. Today is a perfect example, when there was a homeless guy in the bathroom who I'm guessing had been in there for awhile, so he handles this by literally pounding on the door, YELLING loud enough to echo throughout the entire restaurant and continues doing so while following the guy to the exit. This response to something so miniscule is already extremely childish and inappropriate in itself, but what really puts a huge emphasis on his blatant discrimination is not 5 minutes later a guy walks in who is completely SMASHED and proceeds to stumble around, bumping into customers, bugging customers who are eating, and just being all around belligerantly drunk. So where is the employee who made it his personal mission to protect his restaurant at all costs by removing unsightly homeless individuals who take up space in his restrooms? Nowhere to be found, of course! The drunk guy eventually left on his own, but you would think that after the display that was just provided, he would be more on top of.... "unsavory" characters. My guess would be that it was because he didn't have any bags with him, thus blending in. you that this is just one example of how this individual represents himself as well as McDonalds as a whole. The fact that this guy has not been fired for discrimination among other reasons leads me to believe that management condones or possibly even encourages this extremely unacceptable behavior....
