While enjoying a morning walk along Tempe Town Lake, my 12 year old daughter and I decided to observe the PUBLIC art installations at Marina Heights in the common area and have breakfast at Matt's Big Breakfast. ๐ฅ Sadly, the restaurant is closed and more upsetting and disappointing ๐ was the aggressive security guard who exited the State Farm building 150 yards from us and came directly up to us and requested we not "touch or climb" on the art, but that it was OK (though he clearly did not mean it) to take photos! Let me be clear...We had done nor had any intention of touching or climbing" on the art! My daughter and I were super impressed with the development and beautiful setting along Tempe Town Lake but will not return! The management company at Marina Heights SHOULD be investigated by the City of Tempe for harassing residents and visitors! The ASU Art teams should re-evaluate their highly touted "partnership" with Marina Heights. Tempe Town Lake is a public private partnership that ONLY works when the space/art is shared appropriately and business is a Good...

One male security guard approached my friend and I who were on property (parking area) for about one minute. He rudely asked us to leave, while getting up in our face about taking photos of our cars. No asking what were doing just "you need to leave now" and saying "your not allowed take photos". He was invading my friends personal space and standing extremely close. Within that encounter he was not at all understanding that we have no problem leaving, as we were just grabbing the last few angles, needed 30 seconds to get photos. We would not have cared if he stood by for a second and watched us like a hawk, but that was not an option Then a female security walking by came over saying how they're going to call PD over the photos being taken. What waste PDs time over nothing morally wrong? They were very ignorant we're not here to bother them or the property, here for...
ย ย ย Read moreI just had the worst experience at this place. I met up with friends at Matt's Big Breakfast and was sitting in my car sending a message to my dad to let him know I was on my way home. A security guard came and tapped on my window. He accused me of working for State Farm and mentioned me having a badge on earlier. I told him no, that I was visiting from Las Vegas and was just there for breakfast. I know that they have a two hour time limit for parking and I was only there for an hour and 18 minutes. He was very aggressive and made me uncomfortable. He would not give me his name. He was about five foot seven and 200 lb with short dark hair and he was young, 25 or so. I won't go back to this...
