I have enjoyed Brother's Pizza for over 20 years. I have never had a bad experience, and the pizza has always been absolutely delicious. My family and I decided to eat there on Wednesday evening, and we were severely disappointed.
We sat down in one of the ½ booths, ½ tables and waited for our pizza. A few minutes after receiving our pizza, a teenage boy with brown hair and glasses started flipping chairs upside down. He was slamming the chairs against the ½ booth behind us. The slamming rattled our booth and startled all of us. (The booths connect. Of course we would feel it, and I bet he knew it.) I turned around to see what was happening, and he just gave me a dirty look. After he stacked all the empty chairs, he swept under the tables. When he was done, he placed the broom and his dustpan against my seat. My husband noticed I was irritated by this, picked up the broom and dust pan, and placed them away from our table so we could eat.
A large family came in with several kids and sat near us. The teenage boy seemed irritated since he just cleaned the area. There is still an hour left before they even close, so I am not sure why he’s so upset. 2 more teenage boys come out and start stacking chairs and placing them on top of empty tables. The restaurant is half full, and they are closing it down an hour early. The first boy with the glasses brings out a mop and dirty mop water and starts moping around my family. Then he stops and, AGAIN, leaves the entire bucket of dirty water and the mop leaned against seat. At this point I am completely shocked by his behavior. Who wants to eat next to dirty mop bucket, mop or a broom and dustpan? I look around and notice customers are looking at each other with awkward looks, scarfing down their food and rushing to get out. Why wouldn't they? The employees make it a point to make you feel like you are nothing more than an inconvenience. The boys walk back and forth from the kitchen and back to the seating area looking for new tables to clean up.
A young couple came in shortly after, placed an order and sat down with their beers. Shortly after, the three boys crowd the couple and start mopping and cleaning around them. Then they cleaned tables and stacked chairs LOUDLY as customers left. ..(hint taken.. they don’t want anyone there) The couple chugged their beer, stood up and walked up to the counter. I assume they just asked for their pizza to go. It appeared that they were planning on staying but didn't feel welcome. I could be wrong, but they ordered beer and sat down. (They could have called it in if they wanted it to go?? Not sure, only making observations and assumptions)
I was planning on complaining but wanted to wait until I left. Once we were in the car, I called and asked to speak with the owner or manager. He took my call. This man was immediately rude and wanted to know why I was calling. I asked him to drop the attitude, and he proceeded to tell me that I was the one with the attitude. I asked if he was in fact a manager or if he was one of the teenage boys I saw. This made him terribly angry. (I saw 3 teenage boys and 2 ladies the entire time we were there. Not once did I see a male adult. I was not wrong for questioning if he was in fact a minor or an adult) I proceeded to inform him about the bad experience my family and I had, and I told him that I did not feel that he was very customer service oriented. This rude man, or boy, then told me next time I call him, I better not call and be rude to him, and that I need to treat him with respect. Then he ended the call ......???...
I really can't remember the last time I experienced such rude behavior from a business. Even though I have enjoyed Brother's Pizza for over 20 years, I will NEVER ever go back because of how poorly my family and I were treated, not to mention, the rest of the...
Read moreBrothers Pizza-hot pizza, lukewarm ambience and cold customer service reminds me as a consumer why I DON'T patronize local businesses at times. I have purchased pizza from Brothers Pizza before and dropped in today to grab a slice. I made the mistake of ordering a soda and then sitting to place an important call that required me shooting off an email on my laptop. GASP!! The reason I call this a mistake is because the female manager shot me dirty looks the entire time making me feel VERY uncomfortable. As I was wrapping up my email the male owner walked over tersely asking, "Can I help you with something today?" I was mildly annoyed at his tone and just said, "I'm good for now" and nodded towards my soda quickly so it didn't appear I was just there so far purchasing nothing. He grunted, "Yeah but you can't just sit here ALL DAY just because you ordered a SODA." I was appalled at this for two reasons. One, Brothers Pizza is NOT a place I'd spend more than 30 minutes much less an entire day. Cemeteries have more warmth and appeal than that place. Two, I wasn't planning to only purchase a SODA. But just for being so presumptuous and rude that is precisely what I did, sir. I grabbed my laptop, refilled my soda, thanking the female owner behind the counter for being "so friendly", who apparently only has one expression- a scowl, and walked right out of there. I get that this place doesn't want to turn into a Starbucks. That's fine. But people do have lives and they may require a bit of time to tackle something a bit important before placing their order. Don't assume anything. You will run customers off, particularly customers like myself who was considering placing a rather large order for an upcoming Halloween party. So nice job Brothers Pizza and keep making America...
Read moreThe pizza is always fine, the antipasti salad is good but the calzones are too tough to eat. From the minute we walked in the door today, the young lady at the counter was unfriendly. Not quite rude, but not the person you want greeting your customers either. We were unsure of what size pizza to order and she very dryly pointed out the sizes in the far upper lefthand corner of the wall. Again, not out and out rude, but not friendly either. We paid, received no thank you or smile, etc...and sat down to wait 25 minutes for our pizza. The customers after us got their pizza moments before we did - we ordered nothing special - but also did not complain about that, just something we noticed. When we asked for a side of ranch, the same young lady from the counter rolled her eyes at our request. My husband called her on it and she just walked away. We went to the counter to ask for a to go box - the meal ruined by her attitude. The owner/manager came around asking what was wrong, and all she kept saying was "I didn't do it". No one apologized to us, basically just said we were not telling the truth. We know what we saw, and she'd had this awful hate my job look on her face the entire time we were there. We noticed she rolled her eyes earlier at another guest's request for silverware. We didn't want anything free, we'd already paid. But it is absolutely not too much to ask for good customer service, when really all it would have taken was a thanks and a smile to make us happy. If this is a family owned place and she is family, you may want to rethink her position in the business. Brothers Pizza Spring has lost my family as customers, and its too bad since really the pizza and...
