Body language is everything. I placed my order online to my regular location which is 5 mins away from my house 18 mins before closing time. In normal circumstances I do pick up vs delivery due to how close they are, but today I was in the middle of something preventing me to go. I thought, one sandwich... lets give them $3 on top of the $1.5 they are already charging me, least I should do. I missed a call back from them 2 mins later so i got voice mail telling me car broke down...if i could come and pick up or cancel the order. It was 6:50pm closing time 7pm, so i decided to take off and pick up without even calling them thinking otvwas faster than calling back. I got there within 4 to 5 mins, but they had already locked the door. Close? I thought to myself, i still got a few minutes so I called and one of them answered the phone as i was able to watch from outside. I said, im the customer you called to either pick up or cancel the order, I'm here outside. He replied, oh I didn't know you were gonna come.
Here is where I think everything went wrong... He made me feel that i was inconviniencing them for showing up...he now had to make one more sandwich when now they were ready to go. His body language was reflecting an upset person as he was explaining to his teammates what was happening. He took off the lid from the line that covers the food with such a angry face that I immediately regretted placing my order. I knocked on the glass door to get his attention and told him...just cancel the order. Je replied "cancel". I said, yes...just cancel.
This location lost my business today and just wanted management to know why.
I hope everyone arrives to work as early as they leave the store. I hope to see my...
Read moreBad customer experience!! This was my first time going to Jimmy Jones. I stay in the area and i thought they were really good. I would pull the race card here but I'm not going to be that type of person. To give a nice but HONEST review, this location maybe in particular is not it. Now if your someone who knows what you want and is just trying to get in and get out then good. Maybe this is the place for you, but that's not what attracts good business. As I said this was my first time. I can not say they were rude, which would've been nice if they would have at least showed some type of emotion. They were bland, just like the sandwich, chips and soda. I've tasted similar at HEB across the way Facial expression showed that they either didn't want to be there or didn't want to talk to me. Not helpful at all despite me expressing I've never been. Very dismissive. They didn't use their words at all and last but not least they didn't put the customer (me) first. Their goal was to get me out the way and out the door. Not to help me make and love the best sandwich that they could provide. Im not going back. Im sticking to Subway. They taste better anyways, it's easier to make and customize a sandwich there. And...
Read moreFeeling really frustrated right now. I usually get excellent service from the Jimmy John’s crew—this isn’t about them. The issue is with the third-party delivery service they use. I placed an order and the delivery person couldn’t find my location because he couldn’t speak or read English. I speak spanish so it wasn't that big deal to me. However, when I texted the guy to ask where he was, he couldn’t tell me any landmarks or cross streets to help. I doubt he was anywhere near my location. And he wouldn't answer my calls for me to guide him. Then when I told him to return the food to the store his response: "No la puede regresar amiga." I can't return my friend.
I called the store, and thankfully they refunded my tip and delivery fee. But now I have to drive to the store myself to get my food—way after the time I actually needed it. Meanwhile, the delivery guy walked away with two free meals. 😤
Jimmy John’s, this kind of experience is how loyal customers get lost—not because of your food, but because of who you trust to deliver it. The delivery guy is from UBER and his...
