The lattes were quite excellent, my wife's breakfast sandwich seemed decent, staff were fairly nice, and we thought the combined gift shop was very cool. But sadly, I've gotta give my review 3 stars, because of this ham sandwich right here. Now, I wasn't originally going to leave a review but there weren't any reviews or pictures that showed the sandwiches, so I felt like I should. This sandwich cost $12. After conversion and 15% tip, that's more than $18CAD for a Canadian (not that it really matters for the majority reading this, but this helps me put it into perspective). This was no joke the most expensive single sandwich I think I've ever bought anywhere in the world, but since there were no pictures or details on the main sign (I missed the little one), I figured it must be a big and loaded grilled sandwich, and I was pretty hungry so I went for it. Turns out it was just a relatively small and cold deli sandwich, with wilted lettuce and flimsy bread. The picture is what you get. I didn't touch it before taking the picture either. If this was like half the price, I'd probably say it was fine. But not sure how they justify charging $12 for it. I was quite hungry still after. But thankfully, I was able to go down the road and get a big plate of Hawaiian BBQ for literally one dollar more. TLDR; come for the coffee but maybe go somewhere else for food. (Unless the owners update the menu.)

Where do I start with this place.... 1st off, it is so cute!! The owner did so well at decorating with vintage collectables, including mismatched dishware (love it). We have gone 3 times now and the drinks are amazing. Although I don't drink coffee anymore , she has many options, including for both my daughters. We live both the smoothies , green and berry and my personal favorite, the chai!! Best chai I've ever had hands down and very healthy (I like so much I'm ordering). Both my husband and grandma loved the cherry white chocolate mocha . All and all, super cute, inviting and great drinks.

The Coffee Shop in The Dalles offers a warm and inviting space that’s perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The interior boasts clean, modern decor with a pop of color, making it feel both trendy and cozy. Large windows provide ample natural light, creating a serene environment for sipping on a cup of their freshly brewed coffee. The seating is comfortable, with plenty of tables for both solo visits or small groups. Whether you’re looking to work, chat, or simply enjoy the peaceful ambiance, this spot is sure to please.

What a great place! The barista was so sweet and friendly, the coffee was superb (I got a cardomom vanilla latte), and the decor is super cute. If we weren’t just stopping through town, I’d come back every day. So inviting and such a great find!

Also I’m not sure of the name of the shop next door but it’s connected internally to it. It was closed at 8 am when I visited the coffee place, but I definitely would have purchased something from there if it was open. It had nice tourist shirts, hot sauces, candles, nice kids toys and activities… all sorts of cool things I like to shop for in a quaint...
