🚫💰🚫 BUYERS BEWARE!!🚫💰🚫 If I could give Discount Plus - The Dalles, AND DiscountPlus.co below 1 star ratings...I would!

No one returned my calls or my emails from The Dalles, Oregon store. No one responded to my "contact us" message, through the corporate website at discountplus.com. No calls or emails were returned regarding my situation or my request for a refund. My contact info was provided.

Disability income covers very basic living expenses, tho my grocery budget is very tight. Every penny saved makes a big difference each month.

Discount Plus's Facebook Page advertised an additional 40% discount on all blue tags grocery & bedding items & BOGO on bagged coffees, June 8-10.

June 9th, prompted by their facebook ad, I made my 1st trip to The Dalles Discount Plus store for groceries. I purchased mostly blue tagged grocery items, some other color tagged grocery items and a few non food items. While placing items on the counter, I couldn't see the register readout...

My total purchase was rang up & paid. $133.69 blue tag foods (no 40% off) $ 26.15 not blue tag foods (no BOGO) $ 13.47 non food items. $173.31 total

I looked at my receipts.. No itemized product/price accounting NO 40% discounts OR BOGO COFFEE

The store manager was in the checkstand, with the cashier, during my entire transaction, boxing up my purchases. After my purchases were paid, I asked the cashier how I could tell if I received the advertised 40% discount prices or BOGO on my sales receipts. The cashier looked away, then to her MANAGER(?), and didn't answer.

ME: trying to show the cashier my receipts, "I dont see any 40% off... MANAGER: "You can't." ME: "How come?" MANAGER: "Because you didn't get it." ME: "Why not?" MANAGER: "You didn't ask the cashier for the 40% discount." ME:"What? The 40% discount was advertised thru the 10th, on your facebook page. Why would I have to inform your cashier, prior to purchase, to get the advertised discounts?" MANAGER: "To get the 40% additional discounts you have to tell us (her) prior to your purchase, and you didn't." ME: Could I have a refund please... This is my 1st time at your store. I wasn't aware of your "discount policy". MANAGER: No, we don't give refunds." (Now, it's a few minutes before closing) ME: No other store I shop at has a "tell before you buy discount policy". It's NOT posted on your ad. It's NOT on your front door, It's NOT posted at your checkout stand, and I was NOT advised by you or your cashier until after everything was paid & I got my receipts. How was I to know so I could comply? MANAGER: That's our policy, no refund. ME: What a rip-off, guess you don't wan't anymore of my business. I won't be back since you won't make this right, and I left.

I should have received: $53.47 (40% off - blue tag discount) $ 3.99 (BOGO bagged coffee) $57.46 total discounts - per facebook & website advertisements

An overcharge of $57.46 may not seem much to you or to Discount Plus's Customer Service or Management Teams. To me, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT. So is Good Customer Service and Customer Appreciation. (which is also advertised on their website & facebook page AND is un-delivered too!)

I usually just get drinks and random food i'll never get to find/try again, but this place has a ridiculous amount of random household things. It's hard to not find some variety of thing or other that you need here, especially the bizarre overstock good items this sort of place is great for.
