Cafe Express The Woodlands — Restaurant in The Woodlands

So sad I didn’t take pictures (guess that means I need to go back to post another review 😉). The food was absolutely delicious. Let me start by saying I was impressed that the kids mac n cheese was actually real mac n cheese. There’s nothing worse than going somewhere with my child only for the kids menu to be subpar. The mac n cheese was delicious and even my mother was impressed saying “this is how I make mac n cheese”. While we didn’t come to eat the French fries, after tasting a couple of my son’s I realized I should have just ordered a side of fries as well. They’re good, trust me…you’ll thank me later.

Since this was our first time trying out the restaurant we had: Mediterranean grilled salmon with broccoli and spinach.

There was nothing about any of these dishes that didn’t taste amazing. Ik hard pressed to pick a favorite. Everything was delicious. I’m a bit of a foodie so I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. Since Covid I’ve felt like the quality of food restaurants out out are not where they use to be. I have often been disappointed and feel like it’s a waste to go out. Cafe Express The Woodlands delivered and I’ll be sure to come back.

I’m not a big chocolate person, but bothers the brownie and cookie we’re tasty. Normally I don’t care too much for brownies and they’re too rich for me, but this was just right. My favorite was the carrot cake. I would encourage you to try a slice. I don’t always eat dessert when I go out to dinner, and I ate the entire thing.

I stumbled upon Cafe Express while searching for a delightful lunch spot for my mom and me, and I must say, it did not disappoint! This charming little gem combines a chic yet farmhouse aesthetic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home.

The cleanliness and decor are top-notch, making it a perfect setting to enjoy a lovely afternoon. They even have a cozy patio area, ideal for unwinding with a refreshing glass of wine. 🍷

Now let’s talk about the menu - it is impressively priced for the quality of food you receive! Everything we ordered was simply delicious. The soup was perfectly seasoned and left my taste buds dancing. And let me tell you, my salad was bursting with freshness — not a wilting leaf in sight! 🥗 Healthy, fresh, and satisfying!

What stood out to me the most was the staff; they were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. As a full-time travel influencer always on the lookout for unique spots to share with my audience, Cafe Express has certainly made it to my top picks!

So it’s story time. I travel a lot for work. I have been in Gainesville Florida, Dallas, Texas, and now Houston Texas this week. I had a long day of being in central Houston and then the Woodlands. I hadn’t eaten at all on the time I’ve been up until 2:20 PM. I have been quoted to pick up my food at 2:06 PM, however, I did not get my food until 2:20 PM. This has been very frustrating at the time because as I said, I had not eaten. How The tables turned. I started with the pesto pasta, and the macaroni and cheese. The pesto pasta had a nice flavor of pesto. It was light and refreshing. Mac & cheese was amazing. Great cheesy texture and flavor without being over the top or sitting heavy on my stomach. Then I had the chicken pita and the toasted turkey club. The bread on the club was toasted to perfection, and the portions of bread, meat, cheese, tomato, and lettuce was super. The real breadwinner for me was the chicken pita. I like the texture of olives, the taste, the saltiness, but to be honest, I was concerned that it would be very salty and oily. I was wrong. It was amazing the textures and tastes all came together. The chicken and olives and the rest of the mix was delicious. While my meals were to go, I think is a great atmosphere could be experienced. all of that to say my original frustration of waiting a little bit longer and having a long day on top of it already long week was dissipated by this...
