I honestly do not know where to start. It pains me to even grant them the one star. It should be 0. When we pulled up there were 6 cars in front of us. I was at the order menu as soon as we pulled up. We were at the order menus for 10 minutes before moving up even one car length. At that point I was ready to back out and leave but there was a car behind me and a median that prevents you from being able to escape the drive through. We spent a total of 40 minutes in the drive through that originally had only 6 cars in front of ours. When the person working the window opened the window I asked what the hold up was and if it was a regular occurrence for the drive through to move that slow. He said there was only one person working in the kitchen. There was very visibly 3 people working in the kitchen. The bag of tacos sat on the counter for the entire 10 minutes we were at the window. I watched the person making my taco salad for 5 of that as she continuously stopped to talk to another lady in the kitchen. When the person working the window finally gave us our food, not only were the tacos cold but after driving off we discovered two of the 6 tacos we ordered weren’t even in there. We ordered two bacon egg and cheese tacos, two bacon and egg tacos, and two barbacoa tacos. There were no barbacoa tacos in the bag. The edges on the breakfast tacos were hard and dry and two of them had only one roughly one inch piece of bacon on them and so little egg that it could have been eaten in one bite. I asked for the supervisor when we first pulled up and in the 10 minutes that we were at the window one never came. When I got home I tried to call the location to inform the supervisor about the ridiculous drive through time and inquire about the missing items and no one answered the phone. I called 4 times and let it ring until it hung up on me with no answer. I love taco cabana and was so excited to find that there was one so close to where I live, but I will NEVER go back to this location. 40 minutes in a short drive through line is ridiculous in and of itself, let alone the very poor food quality, and lack of customer service. This Taco Cabana has provided what is probably the worst experience with a food establishment I have ever had. You almost have to try to be terrible for it to...
Read moreOnly my second time here and I will never go back to this location. The first time the young staff was polite and even though I had to wait for my order they allowed me to wait in the drive thru as there were no cars behind me. Today I arrived two mins early to pick up my order and they said it was not ready and I needed to walk inside the restaurant to get my order. I asked if I could drive thru and they said fine. I drove thru and parked and waited another four mins past the order due time as stated on the app. I waited behind a car and I drove up 3 mins past the order due time. An older lady with short hair and glasses was so rude to me in front of my kids in the car, she barked that my order was not ready and told me sternly to go inside and get the food. I politely told her I was four mins past when the app said my food will be ready and she barked that she had other orders before mine to go inside! There were no cars behind me so I don’t understand why I couldn’t have waited. I wish I had asked her name to write in this review. I politely acquiesced and parked my car and waited another six minutes. I sent my teen inside to get my order and she did not come out for another five mins. In total our order was past 12 mins late. I observed another lady park her car and her order was brought out to her by a team member why did she get that service and not myself? When I was told to go inside to get my food? Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I don’t mind waiting if I had been spoken to politely and received an apology for the lateness of my order. However due to this poor behavior I will be taking this to corporate and social media. Also, the carne asada street taco was disgusting. The chicken fajita taco was decent. I expect management to reprimand this older lady for her poor customer service. I will never go back to this...
Read moreIf I could given them a ZERO that would be my rating. Just got home from visiting this location. The first of many issues was they could not read our gift card, which had plenty of money to cover the meal. The cashier called the manger who tried to run the card. After a few tries and entering the number manually, she stated that there was a zero balance on the card, which I told her was not possible. She then tried again and finally stated that this location was not setup to accepting the card. So I pulled out a credit card and paid for the order. We should have read that to mean today was not going to be a good experience. I ordered a regular lime margarita and what I got tasted like drinking an over ripe honey dew melon. I asked the manager did you change the recipe? She informed me that it was made with Green Apple! The disgustingly sweet drink cost $5.95, which is more than a normal full service Mexican restaurant price. My wife tried the rum runner. The manager said it was not quite ready and would bring it out to us with the order. The order came with no rum runner. I asked and was told it was almost ready. Another 10 minutes or so past and still no drink. I finally went up to the register and asked for my money back. The manger said she would bring the drink right to the table, which she did. The rum runner was way too strong and overly sweet... my wife ended up only drinking a few sips after spending $4.00 on that drink. The food was okay, but has really gone down hill over the past few years. Use to love going to Taco Cabana; not anymore, which is sad. Got home and went to the Taco Cabana website to check the card balance. Sure enough, there was way more on the card than the cost of our order. I will never go back to...
