Disappointing Experience at Starbucks
I recently encouraged my mother to try the honey citrus mint tea at the Starbucks drive-thru in Calumet City, IL. What should have been a simple and enjoyable experience turned into a nightmare.
Upon receiving her order, my mother was served a boiling hot drink with no sleeve, resulting in her burning her hand. This lack of basic safety precautions is unacceptable, especially from a company as ubiquitous and supposedly customer-focused as Starbucks.
What's even more disheartening is the complete lack of accountability displayed by Starbucks following the incident. Despite multiple attempts to contact them via phone to notify the manager about the incident, nobody bothered to answer. This level of negligence and disregard for customer concerns is deeply concerning.
As someone who frequents Starbucks and expects a certain standard of service and care, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I genuinely wanted to talk to the manager to ensure that proper safety measures are in place to prevent such incidents from happening to others. However, the lack of response has left me feeling unheard and disappointed.
In conclusion, I urge Starbucks to address these issues promptly and ensure that such lapses in service and safety are not repeated. Until then, I'll be hesitant to return to this location or recommend...
Read moreThis is most definitely the WORST place to ever go to. I live nearby so this is what I am resulted to dealing with.
So I go with my friends to get some drinks before the mall opens up. I order a frozen dragon lemonade, and bacon egg bites. The cashier hands me my egg bites before my drink an I am standing there waiting for atleast 10-15 minutes an I ordered with my friends they received their stuff an when I ask the cashier about my drink an told her my food was getting cold she said she had a lot of drinks before mine and I was the last order she had taken . Everyone was serviced except the line behind myself. I didn't give any attitude I just requested for the manager an asked for my money back . She was giving attitude heavily. Didn't know how to give me a refund , she lied an said that the money was going back to my card but when I asked for that receipt she got angry. The receipt said cash so you lying to customers about their refunds because you told me you were the manager. The store manger himself was frustrated , he didn't know how to do it either which took more time an didn't apologize or nothing like they were rude. I wasn't looking for a free meal. I will not be returning. If I could give no stars. I think Dunkin may get my money from now on if I am...
Read moreI’ve been going to this Starbucks since it opened and I have never had a complaint , until today. When ordering at the drive thru window the young lady was very rude when I had to repeat myself she kept interrupting. Of course when I got to the window I paid prior to getting my order. When I received my order it was incorrect. I told the server that I asked for java chips and she told me that I didn’t. I explained that perhaps when you were over talking me you did not hear me. Well that made her huff and puff and walk away with out a response . After talking to another barista she returned and told that it’s an additional 55 cents. As I had used my phone app to pay, I didn’t have the 55 cent handy so I had to get it out of my purse. She stood there sighing. When I gave her the change she told this is only 35 center. I gave her the additional coins . She abruptly gave me my drink and turned away. I tried to get her attention to ask fir the manager but she turned her back towards the window. I sat at the window and call inside for the manager and was told she was not there. I’ve never been disrespected at a Starbucks. I guess they have lost a...
