Firehouse Subs North Thornton — Restaurant in Thornton

On Sunday I ordered sandwiches online for pick up and was told the pickup time would be approximately 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and was told the order wasn't ready yet. I wasn't upset at this point because the store seemed very busy. I waited an additional 15 minutes and my name was called. The first thing the person said when I went to get my order was that they were all out of pickles, olives and mayonnaise. My first question was what did put on the sub? response was just turkey and cheese. So my second question was, why couldn't you have said something while I was sitting there for 15 minutes, and they had no response. I had them add other condiments so my wife wouldn't have the driest sub on the planet. Then when I grabbed the order, I noticed the bag was covered with globs of marinara sauce and oil from their gloves. I asked for another bag and the employee seemed perturbed that I asked him for another. I then asked for a cup for the kids meal and when I went to get my son a lemonade, there was no ice in the machine and the lemonade was basically water. So I left and before pulling away noticed that they did not include the 3 cookies I purchased so I had to go back in to get those. I've been to other locations and have had great experiences like the "welcome to firehouse" when I walked in and great food, however I didn't receive the same treatment, quality or attention to detail at this location. The employees are clearly overwhelmed or possible not trained properly. With so many great places to eat in this area now, I highly doubt I will risk it again...

We order the exact same sandwich from here all the time. Sometimes in person, sometimes through doordash. They get it right less than half of the time. Turkey and mayo on white. I don't care how they ring it up. Sometimes they charge me for a hook & ladder without all the ingredients. Sometimes they ring it up as a turkey. I never know how much it will cost. Although, this isn't my focus. They're my kid's favorite and that is.

Today the staff was so unbelievably rude I really never want to come back. He said he wanted a Turkey sandwich with only turkey and mayo on white bread. Which is his standard order for years. "White kind of cheese do you want?" They asked. He said he didn't ask for any cheese. "What kind of Turkey do you want?" He didn't understand this question and neither do I. Did Firehouse start carrying different Turkey? I don't see it on the website. And if they have, an explanation is necessary to the customer. Signage or something. The boy working audibly displayed his poor attitude with an "uhhhh" and an eye roll & turn combo. I'm honestly shocked the sandwich is correct today.

One step off the curb in front and BAM! On the street. It is solid ice. No salt. No sand. Nothing. This is a lawsuit in the waiting. Its coming.

There are so many sandwich shops and even so many other Firehouse Subs that I can't see why I'd ever return to this location. I urge you to be...

Generally I'm a huge fan of Firehouse and have never had an issue, but the team working at this location on 3/28/19 around 2pm was garbage. It took 20 min, from the time I walked in, to get my sub. Everyone there seemed to be in slow motion often just staring at their work station. There was absolutely no urgency or concern about getting their customers their food, while a number of us stood there, arms crossed and annoyed with how long it was taking. I had asked for 3 extra vegetable toppings, and after all that time, I got my order with absolutely no toppings on it. Of course I didn't notice until I was back at my office. Additionally, the bread had been squished flat like a panini, and the sandwich had noticeably less meat than any of the other 30+ times I've gone to a Firehouse sub and ordered the same sandwich. They also screwed up another customers order while I was waiting. Oh yeah, not one person working here said "Welcome to Firehouse" when I, or anyone else, walked in. They wouldn't even make eye contact with you to acknowledge your presence. They could clearly care less about their jobs or their customers. The owner needs to clean house, because I know today alone I witnessed at least 5 customers that won't be returning to this location. Very disappointed with this visit, still hungry, and won't be...
