TL;DR: This place is fantastic and made me want to try more of their food specifically.
My wife and I went here because we were in the area and wanted something other than fast food. We had happened across this place when looking and thought it would be fun to try.
We’re not strangers to Indian cuisine, but we typically stick to the basics. Butter chicken and tikka masala are more our speed when it comes to this country’s fare. However, reading this restaurant’s wide-ranging menu made us want to try more. It’s very accessible to folks who may be trying Indian and Nepalese food for the first time and for those who are very familiar with its offerings.
For appetizers, we ordered the Gobi Manchurian and the Bengal Roll. My wife suggested the gobi (fried cauliflower tossed in a chili sauce) based on another restaurant she had been to before. It was delicious. I trust Indian cuisine to dress up vegetarian dishes, but this experience made me want to try and make it at home for myself.
When ordering, I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy the gobi, so I opted for a meat-based appetizer. I asked our extraordinarily kind server what his recommendation was between the meat samosa (lamb and chicken) and the Bengal Roll. He suggested the latter. It’s almost a chicken empanada with a filling based on curry chicken. It was served with a tomato sauce and a minty ranch, both of which we took home because this dish was the star of the night especially with its portion size at only $8.99.
We got the Garlic Naan and Paratha, though we were tempted by the Basket of Naan including four different types. These breads were accompanied by the Tikka Masala.
We ordered Mild, as the gobi was mild as well and that about knocked our socks off. Frankly, this was a mistake. The lack of spice in its lowest-spice level was noticeable and had both my wife and I reaching for the salt. The flavor was nonetheless outstanding. I enjoyed the consistency and the ability of the sauce to stick with the moist Basmati rice served alongside the dish.
Bottom line: The tikka masala along with the outstanding appetizers and fabulous service has made this our go-to Indian and Nepalese restaurant. It has opened my eyes and made me want to try more of the food that this region has to offer.
Our server was so kind and willing to recommend and educate us on the food provided to us. He was at once present and not intrusive, like he knew what we needed precisely when we needed it. Not to mention the cleanliness of the restaurant itself. Everything was spotless inside.
Hell, even the take-out containers were high quality and the food reheats perfectly the next day. I’m writing this as I’m eating leftovers. Also, all of our food came out to just under $60, but you can easily split an entree and a side of naan. Only one appetizer is needed with how big the portions are. The only question you need to ask yourself is: Which one? My recommendation is the same as my wife’s and our server’s. Get the Bengal Roll.
Go here. Try the food....

We recently had dinner at Bengal Tiger Indian Restaurant, located at 14312 Lincoln St in Thornton, and I have to say—it was one of the most pleasant and memorable dining experiences we've had in a while. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality really set the tone for the evening and made us feel instantly comfortable.
We decided to try the non-veg thali, and I genuinely can’t recommend it enough. It offered such a generous variety of dishes, each beautifully presented and more flavorful than the last. The thali came with chicken curry, lamb, dal, rice, naan, and several side items, all of which were seasoned to perfection and cooked with what clearly seemed like authentic Indian spices and care. The chicken was tender and rich in flavor, while the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth good. The dal was hearty and comforting, and the naan was soft, warm, and freshly made.
One of the things that really stood out to me was the balance of flavors and textures—they weren't over-spiced, but instead deeply aromatic and satisfying. It’s easy to tell the kitchen cares about the quality they’re serving. Every component complemented the other so well that it left us appreciating not just the dish as a whole, but every bite we took.
The ambiance in the restaurant is also worth mentioning. It’s cozy and inviting, with a calm and relaxed vibe. You can tell they put thought into the atmosphere—they want you to stay, enjoy, and really soak in the experience. It wasn’t too loud, and the seating was comfortable, giving us a chance to take our time and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.
What tied everything together was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. They stopped by a few times to check in on us, refill our water, and genuinely ask if we were enjoying the food. It’s that kind of customer service that makes you want to return—not just for the food, but for the care they show their guests.
If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would probably be the restroom. While it was usable and clean enough, it didn’t quite match the same high standard as the rest of the dining experience. A minor thing, really—but something that, if improved, would make the entire experience flawless from start to finish.
All in all, Bengal Tiger is a place we’ll definitely be returning to. Whether you're craving authentic Indian cuisine or just looking for a cozy dinner spot with friendly people and great service, this restaurant checks all the boxes. Highly recommend it to anyone in the...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that I found this restaurant on google and was so surprised that they had a full 5 stars for their reviews. I feel like that is so rare to see these days, and let me tell you, they earned every single star and more. This is easily the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. My boyfriend and I ate there tonight and we got the Non-veg Thali platter. I love restaurants that have platter options because I’m indecisive and love being able to eat bites of multiple things off the menu. (Not pictured) The meat samosa and chicken pakora came out first with the tamarind sauce and mint chutney to complement were so delicious that I was eating the sauces by itself after we finished the food that came with it. The chicken tikka masala was great and it was always something I chose at Indian restaurants to be safe, but the stars of the platter were definitely the lamb curry, chicken saag and chicken tandoori. I don’t usually order chicken tandoori because most restaurants it’s too dry but there’s was incredible and juicy. The veggies under it were also so deliciously flavored and a perfect pairing with the chicken. The chicken tandoori leg was also huge! It comes with one big thigh and one big drumstick. The lamb curry flavors were out of this world and the spice level was amazing. The lamb was so tender and the curry was my absolute favorite dish of all time. I also don’t usually order Saag but their chicken Saag is the best I have ever had, period. There is nothing bland about their Saag or any of their dishes for that matter. I wouldn’t ever order saag on its own but I definitely would at this restaurant. Every dishes’ sauce/curry was distinguishably different and delicious/flavorful in its own way. Even the rice pudding blew me away with its flavor!! The platter was so filling even for 2 people that we had to take home leftovers. I would pay to see their spice rack and how their chef cooks every meal just so I could learn. I don’t say this lightly when I say this place is perfect , the food is perfect and our server Saul was great! I wish I was a better writer to emphasize just how amazing this restaurant’s food is. I hope this place never changes and whoever is the chef or came up with the recipes needs to be heavily recognized for their talent. We’ll definitely try to come more often so we can try everything on the menu. My first impression of this restaurant is a 10/10 and I will recommend to every...
