Restaurant Review: Olive Garden – Thornton, CO Our recent visit to the Olive Garden in Thornton, CO, was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Knowing how busy Friday evenings can get, we joined the waitlist online before leaving the house. Once we arrived, we were able to check in via phone rather than going to the hostess station, a convenient feature that streamlined the process. After checking in, we waited approximately 10 minutes for our table, receiving timely text updates and access to a link that showed exactly where we were in line. Upon giving our name, we were seated immediately. Pedro, our server, provided outstanding service, greeting us right away and promptly taking our drink and appetizer orders. His attentiveness set the tone for a great meal. Impressively, our soup and salad arrived in under 10 minutes, fresh and hot, just as expected. For my entrée, I opted for the “Create Your Own Pasta” with angel hair pasta, creamy mushroom sauce, and shrimp, along with a side of four-cheese marinara. Every bite was divine, with the flavors perfectly complementing each other. The food was served hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. Beyond the food, the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant stood out. The staff worked efficiently to turn over tables, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests. The lighting was warm and inviting, and the hospitality was top-notch. Without a doubt, we will be returning when in the area. Olive Garden in Thornton delivered a wonderful dining experience with excellent service, delicious food, and a well-organized atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The place was packed. The lot was super full and ppl were screaming and cussing each other out trying to get a parking spot. Other than that I placed my order to go and went inside the place was way overcrowded at the door. Had to squeeze thru many ppl and I didn't like that. I did hear glass breaking so not sure but it made me nervous. I don't like large crowds. Every time I try to place an online pickup order it's always messed up. Order goes thru twice or not at all and thats why I went inside. I've got 3 little ones in the car so I wait outside. We did wait about 25 to 30 mins for our food order. The guy who was running around outside was very nice and did offer us some drinks while waiting. He brought my food out same time. The food was good when i got it home. Still was warm and my kids scared down the spaghetti. One order feeds them all. I love the take home cold one for $6. I get two and we have left overs for lunch the next day. I ordered the tour of Italy. The only bad thing was I felt the chicken parm was too hard and over cooked. It wasn't juicy nor tasty but the Alfredo and lasagna was ok. In the future I'll prob order from this location over the 88th one due to the staff. Prices are high for single parents like me so this is an ocassional thing.

Crystal was our server and has to be to pick up her game. She had potential to be great and just don't know who walks on the door from day to day. Tip was 45% and the service was average. Atmosohere was dull for a Friday night thought the front desk gals could provided more service a bit young for a front desk. Drinks are a added service and nothing was mentioned. Could have went for a refreshing beverage or adult drink but it bland upon walking in. Ordered shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta it was great. I see the appetizer salad has been down graded to a smaller portion but it always delicious as ever. Overall 3 stars just due to the front desk not offering drinks at the bar. Service was great once you got the past the inexperience front desk gals.

Updated Review – August 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Original visit was bumpy—front desk confusion, miscommunication, and a portion size that left me second-guessing what I paid for. Not the experience I hoped for.

To their credit, management followed up and addressed the situation directly, which I really appreciated. That kind of accountability goes a long way, and it's enough for me to give them another shot.

The Chicken Alfredo with extra sauce is still a personal favorite—I’m hoping the next visit reflects that same level of care I received after the fact.

⭐️ Olive Garden Takeout Review – August 2025

Walked into Olive Garden hoping for a smooth takeout experience. Instead, I got confusion served before the pasta.

Three hosts at the front—none of them let me finish my sentence when I said I was here to place an order. They cut me off and told me to go sit down. No questions asked. No clarification. Just “go sit.” Felt like I was being processed, not helped.

Thankfully, a taller staff member came over a minute later, made eye contact, and directed me to the correct person at the register to actually place the order. If he hadn’t stepped in, how long would I have been sitting there? Ten minutes? Fifteen? Long enough to regret showing up?

Bottom line: the food might be warm, but the front desk energy wasn’t. A little listening would’ve gone a long way. Maybe next time, let the guest finish a sentence before giving orders.

Update: For nearly $21, I expected a full dinner portion of Chicken Alfredo—especially with dine-in pricing. What I received looked like a lunch-sized plate with extra sauce. It tasted fine, but the portion left me second-guessing if I got what I paid for. No sides were missing, but the plate didn’t match the price tag.

Between the confusing service and the underwhelming portion, it felt like paying premium for fast-food energy. Next time, I’ll double-check the menu before handing...

Came to dinner on a Friday night, (2 person) was expecting a long wait which was okay (45min or so). Once seated, we waited for awhile for our server Amber to take our order for drinks. We notice 3 tables were seated after us and all 3 tables recieved drinks and breadsticks. Finally, manager Will which is awesome, attempted to save the night, he came over to apologize for the inconvenience and offer us a free appetizer. I told him no worries, we understood it was busy. Time passed by and still no breadsticks/soup/salads and the 3 tables around us were finishing their soups/salads and waiting on their meals. We still hadn't seen our server-Amber with our breadsticks/salad/soup. Finally, Amber showed up with our soup/salad then our appetizer arrive then our dinner within 5-7 minutes apart, I requested a take home box because we had all the food at once. Again, Will-manager came to the rescue and offer a dessert. I comment to him, it's ok she busy. He apologize again for the inconvenience. When we were about to leave, we noticed another table seated in Amber section, Amber did not hesitate to take their order for drinks and served them quickly. This made me question, why did we recieved such horrible service from her. Maybe she thought we didn't speak English just Spanish but still we gave her the benefit of the doubt and left her a tip regardless of the service. I do want to say that she has a good manager , Will went beyond his kindness to save the night and its not because of the free complimentary food but because he responded as a...
