12/4/24 at 6:20pm closing shift . Got my unsual food; the portions where okay sizes I did have to ask for more rice to fill the bottom of the bowl. No biggie . Once I got to the guacamole that is an extra free they tried skimping the scoop portion I looked at it as asked for alittle more to make it the 4oz the ladys working gaslit me saying it was the 4oz .....(some discriptive background Thses ladys are older and look mexican) the one on the line is a grandma she said it will be an additional fee I just told her it doesnt look like the 4oz amount it was a light scoop, and only wanted alittle more to feel better about paying for the guacamole fee. The other older lady beside her she looked like a manager ( dont remember if she had a manager shirt or not she was standing by the line / helping bagging for the cashier lady this lady looked in her late 20s or 30s) she told me it is the 40oz being rude making me sound like i dont know what I'm talking about , I told this lady I used to work for chipotle and can see its not the full standard amount. They all stopped what they where doing looking at one another annoyed stayed quite and made it awkward and hostile when paying for my food , I was fuming over that interaction leaving like wtf 😤 just thinking on the drive home how rude they where about it. I'm an old employee and was trained vary well with my portion scoops , the bowls used to be filled to the bowl brim the lids barly able to close back then .my meal was forsure less then what it should be / used to be. It didnt fill the bowl completely there was so much room of dead space from the bowl itself and when you put the lid on . I was so upset with that interaction I forgot to ask for more lettuce to fill the bowl to fill it . So to summerize I was mad leaving and used to love working for chipotle i left to persue my career and always had a love for chipotle the food was good at my store was amazing crating a high standard for food safty and made me proud to have quality food with quality servive crating life long skills. The last good years I remember eating at chipotle is in 2021 and back . after that year it has been going down hill maybe its the food industry changing or the location (I moved different states) that made it really matters ,different states and areas crate different environments i cant fully explain this observation but it's vary dramatic comparing other chipotle to one another. don't understand why I go to chipotle anymore recently its been awful , I'd rather pick a different place to go to avoid interactions like that nobody wants to arguge over the portions they are receiving/ essentially paying for many people go to restaurants during lunch or after work and they are hungry and tired and ready to relax and go home, i dont want to argue with the workers i dont want to feel gaslit I know the standards and can see when it's less. i know chipotle isnt paying enough to be greedy with the portions normal line employee dont get a bonus cutting costs maybe the gm i can see bonuses if they are a grate store reaching sales and have amazing reviews. But this store wasnt it . If your running low on a product use it until its gone dont skimp to stretch it for the remainder closing shift. If im paying for it i expect my standard portion and not skimped for corporate gain.
And the guacamole was brown / oxidized so in the end it wasn't that grate of a meal to fight over.
Because i used to work for the company I never walked out on chipotle over portions or considered that as an idea but next time I will boycott and walk out if they skimp on the portions. That's not okay to treat the customer the consumer awful and make a horrible experience . Do...
Read moreThis is the second time I have come to this location in about a month. The first time was an awful experience, poor portion size, service, and quality. Which is disappointing for the amount you pay to eat here now. I submit a review to chipotle detailing my experience and selected I would like for someone to reach out regarding my experience and no one ever did. I decided to give this place another (was the closest location at the time) try hoping that they were having an off day the last time. Well. Sad to say that this most recent visit wad worse than the last. The service is bad. Every employee I spoke to was short and rude. I ordered a burrito bowl and received two 1/4 spoon scoops. When I asked for more rice I received one more 1/4 of a spoon scoop. So total 3/4 of a full spoon. And I'm not talking about an overflowing spoon. The employee was really not happy about giving me that tiny bit extra either. I always order half chicken and half steak. And again received 1/4 spoon of each. I like to get my salsa on the side so I can split it between my chips and guac. The employees made a big deal over giving me 2 sides of salsa even though I didn't order any on my bowl. And again, each salsa container was only filled halfway. I didn't want to annoy the employees anymore by asking for another half full container so I cut my losses. I ordered chips and guacamole on the side. The chips were hard as a rock. Most were inedible. I don't know if this is because they sat around for too long or what else could have happened (I've noticed this the last few times I've gone here too). There was barely any salt on the chips as well. The guacamole had a big air bubble on the bottom up one side and so about 1/4 of the container was air. The rest of the guacamole was mostly just one large piece of Avocado that didn't get mashed/mixed properly. I understand there are staffing problems and that you will be charged for ordering extra. I have no problem waiting longer for quality food. I also have no problem with paying for extra as long as I'm getting the full serving to begin with. All in all my bowl was barely half full of actual ingredients and mostly filled with tomatoes and corn. I've now paid almost $30 between the 2 visits and was taken advantage of both times. I did not get what I paid for nor did I hear back from management. I don't really think management cares. I won't be back to this location. I've attached pictures of my almost bowl. Read moreI am adding to my review from 6 years ago. I am pleased to say that the food at this location has gotten better and better. I am someone who eats chipotle several times each week and have eaten at many locations all across the country. This chipotle is hands down the best! You would assume that all chipotles would taste the same… not true.
This chipotle has the best meat. Perfectly cooked and cut every time. The flavor is perfect. The rice here. WOW! There are so many locations where the rice is hard and bland. Not here! It is perfectly cooked, soft and the flavor is to die for. The fajita veggies are also amazing here. Qdoba normally has better fajita veggies but not better than this location. They are perfect here. Not too hard and not too soft. The staff is also great here. Too many times at other locations, when it comes to meat the person serving somehow shakes the scoop to knock as much off of it as possible and then goes back and throws one little piece on like they did you a favor. Every time that happens it leaves me feeling disappointed and I always feel obligated to get double meat when they do that so I’m not hungry after. Not at this location they always do a great job and we are always satisfied here. It’s our family’s favorite and we will drive to this location even if there is a chipotle closer. I could go on and on but the last thing I will rave on is the chips. When chipotle’s chips are cooked right they are SO SO good. Sadly most chipotles fail miserably on their chips. Cooked too little or too oils and they taste stale. This chipotle knocks the chips out of the park! So tasty! I wish the management here could train all chipotles so that the food is this good at every location!!!
