Went out for dinner to catch the Beaver game on the PAC 12 network that we don't get at home. With only a few places in town that get the channel, we knew that FlyBoy had it.
Walked into FlyBoy, sat down and will NEVER go back!
We asked the waitress if she could change one of many TV's in the restaurant and here response was "the owner wants the Duck game on..sorry". Pressing into why they couldn't change just one TV for a paying customer.. she said she would ask and walked away..
Seconds later we hear from across the restaurant from a large man sitting at the corner table.. "You don't get to come into my restaurant and change my F&^%ing Tv's" "No one wants to watch the Beavers F^&%ing lose"...
Feeling extremely uncomfortable and stuck as we had already placed our dinner order, the waitress changed not only ONE TV but the BIG SCREEN... this dramatic and emotional reaction from the now LOUD man in the corner was not needed. We were not looking for control, simply one small TV near our table to show a different channel.
Later, the waitress came back and asked if she could rearrange the Tv channels and change the big screen back to the Duck game... We explained to her that the big screen didn't need to be changed in the first place and she responded with "I just did what I was asked by the owner"
Before we left we confirmed with another waitress that the large drunk man in the corner was in fact the owner.
Im am embarrassed for him! period.
The food wasn't anything special, beer was room temperature and his staff is clearly terrified of him.
I should have taken my bill over to that table and walked out. Never again will I get bullied that way by an owner and then give him my money. SHAME ON ME!
I will support local businesses but NEVER...

My boyfriend and I stumbled into Fly Boy Brewing in Tigard after a quick Home Depot run, just looking for a bite to eat before catching a movie — and wow, what a fantastic surprise! From the outside, it looks like a small, unassuming spot, but the moment we stepped in, we were blown away. It’s much larger inside than expected, full of character and charm, with a super fun and thoughtfully decorated space that’s entertaining in itself.
We had no idea they brewed their own beer, and the selection on tap was huge. There’s a full bar too, which was a bonus. We came in at a random time — around 2:30 p.m. on a Wednesday — and while it wasn’t packed, there were a few people who seemed like happy regulars, which is always a good sign.
Our waitress was absolutely incredible — friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. (I wish we had gotten her name!) She walked us through the menu, told us all about the specials, and even offered samples of a cider and a beer to help us decide. We were on a bit of a time crunch, but thanks to her and the quick work of the kitchen, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal without feeling rushed. The food? So good. Prices? Super reasonable. The whole place was clean, inviting, and had a great energy.
Honestly, if we hadn’t already bought the movie tickets, we probably would’ve stayed — Fly Boy Brewing ended up being the highlight of our day. We’re already planning to come back when we have more time to soak it all in. This place is a little off the beaten path, but right by Home Depot, and 100% worth the detour. I’ll be telling more people about it for sure.
Can’t...
Read moreWe are what you would call “regulars” at Flyboy. We always bring our family and the tab is always over $100. Unfortunately the way we were treated yesterday we will be finding a new place to frequent. We had just come from a wrestling tournament, we were hungry and ready for a cold one. After patiently waiting and being passed over by our server several times my husband decided to just go to the bar and order his beer. After being looked at oddly several times the bartender finally said in a rude tone to my husband “can I help you” my husband replied with the beer he would like to order. The bartender proceeded to tell him that he could not serve him a beer that he would have to go through the server. My husband then politely replied that he understood how that can get messy and he would be happy to cash out with him. The bartender proceeded with I don’t think you understand you can’t order from the bar if you have a table…ummmmm 🤔 okay we have never once been to a restaurant where you could not order something from the bar if you were sitting at a table! Fine enough though, if that is indeed the rule at this establishment we would still be customers if the bartender was not rude and had offered a solution by saying something like, yeah that is our policy but I will let your server know or something along those lines, instead it was just pure rudeness and BAD customer service from the bartender in particular ( the server was busy, hence going to the bar in the first place). Bummed to not have this on our list of places anymore, but we will not give our money to somewhere where we are known to frequent and still get...
