it's strange for me to rate mcdonald's. it's mcdonald's, and we know what to expect from them. i'm writing this while sitting on the throne in my bathroom at 4:30am. i'm giving up on getting back in bed, so i thought i'd pass the time writing about my experience there. this place is filthy, just like other people have said. all you need to do to get an idea of how filthy is walk inside and look up. the ceiling is dirty and water stained showing how little the owners care about what their business looks like. need more? ok, walk to the bathroom and take a peak inside. i wouldn't touch anything with bare hands. i have seen truck stop bathrooms cleaner than this locations bathrooms. it's beyond disgusting. the staff is just a cluster of people that either don't care or are too stupid to know what's going on. there's no real leadership and observation of them working is like watching the special olympics.. except the special olympic athletes are clearly a huge step up from the staff here. rude, disorganized, sloppy, lazy, are just a few things that come to mind. and before you start judging me for criticism of mcdonald's employees, just know that i understand feeling like that.. i don't want to rake them over the coals. i feel compelled to make that point because i don't want to be "that guy". it's true though that the staff is completely out of control there. it's very apparent that there is no real leadership at any level and they kinda just do what they want. the food is absolutely disgusting. burgers are cold and sloppy, the fries are brown and bland. i would have guessed the fries were old based on color and taste if i hadn't personally seen them come out of the fryer. no, the reason for the color is old cooking oil. bland because of old oil and no one salting them when they come out. no one cares about basic food safety and no management is going to make them care. i should have made a better decision about eating what they gave me after everything i just talked about.. but i was really hungry and i just paid $8 for the meal of disease. i never considered complaining and sending the food back, because i wasn't confident about not getting spit and whatever else from the staff in my food. that was a day and a half ago, and here i am still sick. anti diarrhea pills might as well be tic tacs because they are doing nothing to help the mass exodus of my colon. i can't eat, and burping still brings up the taste of gross double quarter pounder and onions. i almost threw up again writing that word just now.. it's really that bad. i'm not criticizing mcdonald's as a whole, it's one of my guilty pleasures when i cheat on my normal good diet. these are franchises owned by different people. it's not like there's not 15 more a stones throw away. if you enjoy your health and have better things to do other than be wrung out like a rag from both ends for a few days.. then you definitely don't want to eat at this establishment. it's really incredible that they are still able to be as filthy and disgusting as they are without any consequence. i will be filing a complaint with the state usda when i can get off the toilet for more than 15 minutes. stay far far away from this place. you will regret it...
Read moreDue to some unfortunate circumstances on Christmas Eve my wife and I were unable to cook for Christmas. We remembered that we had some McDonald's gift cards. We tried calling the Main location but it just beeped and hung up. After calling other McDonald's in the area and them all picking up and saying they were open We figured the other one was also opened but maybe turned off the ringer cause I'm sure everyone was calling to see if they were open. We have no car but we were very hungry so decided to just walk there. It was raining, windy, cold and a 30 min walk but it was gonna be worth it once we got there. Oh no was I wrong! We finally get there soaking wet and cold and as soon as we walk in some other customers sitting in the lobby informs us that they are no longer taking orders. I looked at my phone and saw it was only 7:30pm. We walk to the counter to ask what was going on and some guy just rudely snapped at us that they weren't taking orders. We asked why and he points at his screen and says I'm extremely overwhelmed, I don't know how you even got in here or how orders are still coming through. He then ran to the doors and locked them. I have worked in the restaurant industry and have myself had to shut down a restaurant to get caught up but never have I handled it in that way. My wife asked politely if they were shutting down for the rest of the night or if we could wait until they got caught up because we had just walked 30 mins in the wind and rain to get there. He just shut her down and said no. No apology or anything. I realize they were probably overwhelmed with deliveries but I also know you can pause deliveries. Your first priority should be your drive thru and customers in the lobby. I then tried to ask again if he could take just one more order for him to say to me " I'm not gonna agree with a 50 year old who's eating McDonald's on Christmas!" Well first off I'm not even close to 50 thank you but what else could I say after that? I guess I should just be happy I'm not 20 years old working at McDonald's on Christmas!! Went to the McDonald's down the road and they were much much nicer. Obviously someone can't handle their...
Read moreOkay.. this particular location just isn’t up to the standards at all. Tonight (6/28/20, at 9:20pm) was probably one of the stand out bad ones. First. Pull up to the order box. The only greeting I was given was “what do you want?”. Okay.... That is a terrible way to greet someone when you work in customer service. Maybe he was having a bad day.. but still. Not a good start to the interaction. I order my food and make my way to the window. Speed of service was not the greatest. But it was the highlight of this visit. My food was handed to me. Not really super fresh. But not cold. Just kinda meh. What really bothered me was the tall kid with long dark hair. He went to make my slushee in a used and not clean blender that I just watched him make a smoothie in. He did not clean it out. Just got out the bulk of the residual smoothie and left a fair amount of leftover in it. What is worse was a supervisor was standing right there and let it happen. Now, me myself, I’m not too concerned about what’s in that smoothie. But knowing that he was that lazy bothered me. I do have friends that are deathly allergic to strawberry and other things. So it definitely made me a bit concerned for the other people that go there. And having someone not take the time to properly clean a utensil before making something else in it. Especially in this health crisis we are in. That is just sloppy work guys. Be more cleanly and be more diligent. Sloppy work like this is not okay. Not even in an minimum wage hole...
