It was empty when we walked in...that should have been a sign. The waitress was not the friendliest, upon arriving she told us to wait to go get our food since they had just mopped (No Caution signs out by the way) We waited...and finally got our food...the table where the raw veggies and meat were was not pretty...a bunch of trays next to each other with no division as you see at other buffets, not a lot of variety...the only meat labeled was chicken, I almost grabbed lamb (which I dislike) but I asked just to be sure. The cook cooked the food, that was timely, the sauces as far as teriyaki and all that were alright, not the best. Kids drinks are non refillable but adult drinks are...doesn't make sense to me but okay. I asked for 6 straws, she handed me 4 rolled her eyes and just stood there...I went to sit back down, a few mins later she came back with 2 more straws, I asked for Sriracha Sauce she said "No we don't have any because of shortage". Okay I mean I don't have trouble finding it but whatever...The food and flavoring was not great, it was super bland, and yes I added sauces and all that but they must be flavorless or something because it was so bland. I've gone to many...many mongolian grills/bbqs and this one is by far the worst one...Highly questioning the 5...
ย ย ย Read moreI'll start by saying the food is good. Prices are high Customer service was the worst! We have a large, very respectful family. We are very mindful of minimizing waste and only taking what we can finish. Our waitress who I can only assume was the owner, was a total helicopter our entire visit, watching what we put on our plates through the line..once we finally sat down to eat, my husband's plate they split into two plates while cooking. Our waitress made a comment about "are you going to be able to eat all that", then proceeded to grab some elder lady from the back to come out and look at his plates. Completely dehumanizing, rude and unnecessary. Why run a "buffet" style restaurant if you are going to pick apart those who come to your buffet? When I asked for some hot sauce she let me know they don't offer it anymore cause is too expensive. When we asked for more rice wraps, she asked how many and when we responded 6 she asked if we are sure.
At the end of the visit, we spent near $100 for 2 adults and 3 kids.We only went through line once because we were made to feel like gluttonous pigs, can only imagine how shameful they may make diners who are consensus of their weight or have eating disorders feel.
Do yourself a favor and stick with Changs line of...
ย ย ย Read moreWe usually go to Changs but swung into this place thinking there wasnโt going to be much of a difference. After trying it Changs is definitely the superior in the food quality, service, and experience. The waitress had made mention to us about not wasting food 4 times. When we got there, when she asked if we wanted rice, when I asked if they had the rice paper dudes, and when she came back to check on us. We had a normal people amount of food on our plates we donโt go crazy cause you can just go back up there for more if you want to. My daughter and I instantly felt the pressure though ๐. Anxiety definitely set in and a nice dinner quickly turned into, omg what if I donโt finish my plate. The time there was not enjoyable and we will never go back. Iโm happy they have a lot of nice things said about them in reviews. There was no one there when we were dining and maybe the waitress was just having an off day, I donโt know. Our experience was not...
