Sip has been one of my long established study coffee areas and I’m embarrassed its taken me this long to write a review
This charming coffee shop has quickly become my go-to place for studying and working, and it's all thanks to the wonderful owner and staff, the inviting atmosphere, and the perfect blend of drinks.
Warm Welcome: From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt like I had found my second home. The owner, who greets customers with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, has created an environment that's truly inviting. Their dedication to making every visitor feel like a part of the Sip family is evident in every aspect of the coffee shop.
A Remarkable Owner: The owner of Sip is nothing short of amazing. Their passion for coffee and dedication to creating a welcoming space for the community is inspiring. They take the time to engage with customers, ask about their day, and ensure that everyone's visit is exceptional. It's rare to find an owner so involved and dedicated to their business and its patrons.
Stellar Staff: The staff at Sip is equally fantastic. They are always friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the coffee and pastry offerings. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, making you feel valued and appreciated. Their excellent service contributes to the overall positive experience at Sip.
The Perfect Study Environment: For students like me, Sip is a haven. The loft area upstairs provides the perfect area to get work done. Everyone upstairs is working on something and inspires me to get that next page done. The soft background music and the pleasant aroma of freshly brewed coffee only add to the ambiance. Whether you're working on a project or catching up on your reading, Sip offers the perfect environment for concentration.
Exquisite Drinks: Let's not forget the star of the show – the coffee and drinks at Sip. Every sip is a delight, and you can taste the care and craftsmanship that goes into each beverage. From their rich espresso drinks to their specialty teas, the drink menu is a treat for the taste buds. Plus, they offer a range of delicious pastries and snacks that pair perfectly with your beverage of choice.
In conclusion, Sip is more than just a coffee shop; it's a community hub where you can find a warm welcome, exceptional service, and the perfect environment for studying or working. The owner and staff go above and beyond to make every visit special, and the drinks and snacks are simply outstanding. If you're looking for a cozy, inviting place to get work done while enjoying a top-notch coffee, make sure to pay a visit to Sip. It's a small business that truly stands out and deserves all the praise...
Read moreI had a nice experience at Sip today worth sharing. I ordered from who I assume was the owner, who was providing very speedy and charismatic service to a long line of people. I ordered a mocha latte and she asked if it was ok if they used chocolate milk how they normally make it- I said yes, hesitantly, as I am accustomed to chocolate syrup and tend to prefer it. “It’s the best in town, I’ll put my money on it,” she said. Then I made the joke that this meant it was on the house. She made it a generous reality and indeed gave it to me on the house.
I can’t verify if it’s the best in town as I’m just passing through my home town of Toledo, and haven’t had many coffee shop experiences here in years, but I know a good latte when I have one; both of my adult sisters were successful coffee shop entrepreneurs. In fact I used to come to Biggby all the time when it was here, and there is a tinge of sadness for me seeing it occupied by something other than what it was; an actual community of people, some of my best friends I met here and some of my best memories of my Toledo days were in that building. A time long gone but still, the space itself is a nostalgic and important thing to me, so the experience here had something riding on it!
The quality of the latte ultimately didn’t matter, it was that little gesture of community that went a long way. As a business owner myself I appreciated the way a community attitude was reflected through that...
Read moreA couple of days ago, I ordered a bagel to go and they gave it to the wrong customer who took it and went and sat with it. She pulled the bagel out and realized it wasn't hers and then brought it back to the worker. The girl working there took it back to the kitchen and then walked right back out and tried to give it to me. I then told her can you please make me a new one that girl literally just touched it and then she told me “I don't think she touched it". We went back and forth and then she went to make me a new one eventually. I have never had a business dealing with food try to give me something I paid for after someone else touched it. That has got to be some sort of health code violation. Also, when I asked for a new one she should have just made me a new one no questions asked I shouldn't have had to beg her for a new one. I paid for the bagel, not something a stranger touched up. This was just handled really badly and turned me off big time from Sip. I've been going here pretty regularly for years but I don't think I'm ever going to go again. Thank God I saw that customer take the bagel and touch it otherwise I would have eaten it if I didn't see that happen. Also, the customer looked like she was sick and was wearing a face mask. I am so surprised that they actually tried to give it off to another customer thinking that I wouldn't have...
