Well, the remade burrito was excellent. My girlfriend has me drive to this location because she's preferred this location for years now. I've been a big fan of Mighty Taco for over a decade now, driving to Tonawanda happily until the location was opened on Grand Island.
This location made me kind of sad. I've noticed that this seems to be trending with recent reviews as I've only had 2 visits ever and they were in the last few months. I applaud Tammy/Tammi for her collected coolness with handling the situation and her customer skills, but I hope the rest of the staff gets on her level.
It was really hard to order here, which I understand; speakers microphones, bad sound, that's okay. But after finally getting the order put in which took roughly 5 minutes (still unbothered), I waited another 5 at the window after paying and receiving my drinks I was asked if I was missing anything - mind you I had been given my change and drinks so far. After letting the person at the window know I hadn't gotten my order, she started to give me my order, but asked for a receipt; I'd never got one... So after verifying the order, I began to look in the bag. I then realized that one of my burritos wasn't in there and headed inside because having worked in fast food, i hate plugging up a business' drive-thru when it's supposed to be a fast option.
So when I get in, the aforementioned manager was great, and remade my food. I wanted a refund but I guess I didnt have the time to make a big enough scene to get one because most places avoid it at all costs unless you're really laying on the horn, figuratively speaking. After we leave and get home, I mentioned how it was nice that we were offered an extra drink or dessert for their mistake; we looked at one another, and then in the bag to see the empanada we originally ordered wasn't even...
Read moreMuch room for improvement, no matter what is ordered it is generally on the smaller side. After years of Mighty Packs I gave up due to price and smaller sized tacos. For the past 2 years I have been trying Super Mighty burritos instead. Same general problem, smaller sized, not much toppings even when paying for it. I may decide to give up on the chain altogether.
Today I returned to the restaurant after going to drive thru and showed the cashier who cashed me out my order which was very small. She said what I had was the "correct size" at first and that "management has been on them for making orders too big." Really? Is that why I go once a week and almost never get a proper sized order. She then weighed the 2 burritos at my request and both were under what is recommended on their chart, so they did remake the order to correct size. Still, I drive back to restaurant and they cannot admit to mistakes or notice a problem unless weighing an item or blaming management?
Update: It could be this location but mistakes happen once in a while, not every week. Arguments in store about sour cream, now although given credit for a smaller sized order, the same principle of "smaller portion" has returned, or maybe one item correct and the other not correct. I will not be going back for quite a while. Poorly managed, business plan...
Read moreI decided to try out Mighty Taco because I'd heard some good things about their food and wanted to taste it for myself.
This location is spacious and clean, but definitely lacked traffic on a Wednesday afternoon.
This was my first time coming here, and it was honestly a struggle to read the menu board because the font was SO small. I did like that they dedicated a section of the menu to "Meatless" especially since I was travelling with some family members who were vegetarian.
The service was just ok because the cashier wasn't too helpful in explaining what was in the items. We were also charged for asking for the sour cream on the side instead of inside the burrito, which I wasn't too happy about mainly because I just wish they told me they would charge me beforehand.
I tried the Super Mighty Burrito with Chicken and the Beef Mighty Taco as well as their signature bean dip, to try and get good variety of what they offer. Overall the food wasn't great. The taco and the burrito both had lettuce and tomato ( which were long slices that had been sitting out for too long ) and the sauces were a bit sweet and smokey, which I didn't care for.
I will say, the Bean Dip & Nachos were pretty great though! I liked that the nachos were actually strips instead of triangle shaped, it helped a lot when scooping up the dip and was a...
