Believe it or not ... my first time in Olive Garden. We were on our way back across the border after doing a bit of last minute shopping near Walden Galleria (yes, we're Canucks), when we both had a bit craving for something. My queen suggested Olive Garden, and I agreed as I have never been to one. The atmosphere here was subdued, as it was the tail-end of the lunch session. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. One small drawback we both noticed ... the place could have used a bit of a cleanup, we saw more mess on the floor of the dining than we're used to seeing at other places. We both figured that they probably got slammed during the lunchtime rush, and just didn't get around to tidying up. The food was surprisingly good. The menu was reminiscent of a chain of restaurants in Ontario (E**t S**e M**ios, for those who might know or care) ... endless bread, soup or salad, with a ton of pasta main course options. The bread was a little spongier and sweeter, and the salad dressing a bit more zestier, than our Ontario counterpart, but we really enjoyed both here. A little comparative competition is always good to provide a broader perspective. Our mains were both pasta dishes (after all, that is what we came here to try). My spaghetti with meat sauce ws actually very good. The noodles were perfectly cooked and there was plenty of beef in the tomato based sauce. My better half had the carbonarra with penne and shrimp, and she said it was "yummy". Will we come back here ... we'll certainly consider it next time we're in the neighborhood.

This experoence started off on the wrong foot. When the front desk quotes 30 minutes to every party of two for 45 minutes and you are one of those parties of two sitting there that long, it is not good. I saw a lady with a headset and tablet so I asked where we stood and she said there were two larger parties ahead of us. Not seeing any parties leaving to make the quoted 30 minutes even possible, I suggested that they start quoting a longer time, such as 45 minutes, then a guest could be pleasantly surprised if it were less, or decide at the beginning that they wanted to go elsewhere. She dismissed my suggestion and noted they are low-staffed. I respect that, but it validates even more why they should be giving the longer wait times. We waited an hour, only because at that time, I did not have the energy to go wait somewhere else. Our server, Chloe, was bubbly, sweet and delightful. I can only imagine how much better the experience had been if the wait was quoted properly. She was attentive and quick as she could be, but after waiting a bit for our food, I asked if when it was ready she could just pack it up to go. I gave a larger than normal tip, because it was not her fault that the front of the house was handling things poorly. They wondered why people were not responding when finally called, probably because the wait was longer than usual. The food was typical Olive Garden and decent, even if eaten out of a to-go container.

This was our first time at an olive garden and it definitely won't be the last. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and my wife had the tour of Italy. She really liked the idea of trying a small portion of three different dishes and thoroughly enjoyed the carbonara so much that she will likely order the full plate if it next time. The meat sauce was a bit too chunky for my personal taste but was still really good. I will likely try the spaghetti with marinara next time. The breadsticks 100% live up to the reputation and are the best I have ever had. Now for the service. This is a prime example of where I like to tip. I generally am not a huge supporter of tipping but like to do so in a high amount when someone goes above and beyond. Our server Justin did just that. We saw that he likely was exhausted or just a little frazzled as can happen to anyone at work but he was extremely friendly and always asking what he could do to help at the right times. He had forgot our appetizer but we weren't complaining as we were so full from everything else we doubt we would ever order one again. However, he was so apologetic when we brought it up at the end of our meal he not only made sure it wasn't on our bill but gave us the appetizer in a carry out container before we left to enjoy at home. All in all, a great birthday dinner that will result in return visits to this location and other Olive Garden's in the future.

We won't be back to this location. We live in Ontario just across the border so we dine in at Olive Garden a lot. Our go to location is Military Road in Niagara Falls and it rarely lets us down. We were in the Galleria Mall area this past Sunday so we decided to give this location a try (first time in 3-4 years) and unfortunately we regret our decision.

First off, we love the online check in. Wait said 10-14 mins. We arrived after 10 mins and were told that our table would be about 25 mins. We've never had to wait this long but hey, it was Sunday at 4 PM and the parking lot was empty (insert sarcasm here). We were seated after about 20 mins. The table was for 2 but they squeezed in a 3rd chair for us. Area was really cold inside, oh well. Server came over with breadsticks (they weren't hot or even warm) and intro'd herself and asked if we wanted drinks. I advised her that I ordered a drink and an appetizer on the table top tablet. She came back with our drinks and took our main orders. She dropped off the salad and soup and brought more breadsticks (again they were slightly warm only). Note that just last weekend we dined at the Niagara Falls location and the breadsticks were hot and buttery and delish.

Mains come out and still no sign of appetizer. At this point, no need for the app as we had salad a room temp breadsticks but of course, the server finally realizes app wasn't delivered and she brings the app back after we started our mains.

In retrospect I should have said something but the server could have also apologized and asked us if we still wanted the app.

The chicken parm chicken was very hard on the edges, tough to cut and chew.

The service last weekend was amazing. One of the best servers we've ever encountered at any restaurant (Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, Olive, anywhere) so the service here yesterday left a lot to be desired because the bar was raised so high last week.

We were also charged for using the Table Tablet for playing games when we did NOT. AND we were charged twice for Peach Bellini Iced Tea when only ONE...

We treated the kids for a family vacation from Ontario to NY and the kids number one place they wanted to eat was Olive Garden. They were so excited when we arrived to the Walden Galleria location. However, the service went down hill from there. We sat for over an hour being ignored. The waitresses just kept serving tables around us, and not even turning to our direction. We even tried to get the servers attention, and they totally looked the other way. We ended up leaving, because we were very disappointed. The children were feeling like we were getting ignored. It was a very awkward situation! When we got into the car, we decided to call the manger of the Olive Garden because we wanted to inform them of the situation. The Olive Garden manager gave every excuse and did not apologize at all to our family on the phone. My husband was very disappointed and was going to go into the Olive Garden to have a talk with the manager. We did not want this to ruin our family vacation.! The manager mentioned on the phone that he would talk to the wait staff our everybody ignoring us, even the hostess. The unfortunate situation was when our family walked out of the Olive Garden all the servers turned their back to us and ignored our whole family. I don’t usually post reviews on these types of sites, but this information has to be known. We have spent a lot of money over the border, and we wanted to give our children an experience like we had when we were younger. We are going to go to the Olive Garden on military Road and try it one more time because the kids really want to have an Olive Garden experience. This made my husband and I very sad because we were excited to try the Olive Garden since the one in Oakville Ontario closed many years ago.. I really hope the other Olive Garden on military Road works out for us before we...

Went to this location last night. We got seated with no silverware. Our thoughts maybe they forgot. Then our waitress comes over and the nightmare begins. She takes our whole order because we had already been sitting waiting for her for 20 minutes already. So we tell her what we want. Then roughly 15 minutes goes by and we get our drinks 1 diet soda, 3 waters, a bottle of wine, and a child’s drink. Nothing that the bar would have to make. We order 2 sirloin steak meals with broccoli and our daughter orders a fettuccine meal with fries. I also get a soup and we order bread with Alfredo sauce. We get our drinks I am super thirsty and drink all my water. She says she will bring me another one. Never happened. We get the soup cold and the Alfredo sauce cold. Waitress doesn’t come back for a long time. After another long wait I get up to speak with the manager. The manager goes I’ll check on your order. She comes back to the table and apologizes because the steaks need to be well done. By this point we just want to leave. So we’ll done steaks delay someone from good service and drinks. Mind you I am now 2 waters and 1 soda in me. I drank my families waters. Clearly the waitress is not bringing me a refill. Finally we tell the manager we will take our food to go except our child that is hungry. It is 9 pm by this time. The manager says she will comp something on the check. She doesn’t tell us amount or anything. We get our food in a to go bag our daughter eats her cold food and we go to check out. The manager gave us $16.00 off the bill for the inconvenience. Will never go to this location EVER again. We I’ll travel the extra 30 minutes to the other location. Very...
