Was in the area and was hungry so I did something I normally don't do very often... stop at a random location at the road. Previously I've never heard of Gino's Cheese-steaks nor ever seen anybody mention it online or in person. I ordered the chicken wing cheese-steak (aka buffalo chicken & blue cheese) and my wife ordered the Utica greens & chicken cheese-steak. Everything is cooked on request so we sat at the counter and waited for our food. The food was simply amazing, the quality of the ingredients are outstanding, and I was delighted to find out this place knows what blue cheese actually is, which is blue cheese crumble, not that mayo-esque blue cheese goo that 99% of places try to pass off. I've eaten buffalo chicken sandwiches all over New York but this was the best one I've ever had. My wife loved her cheese-steak as well and we absolutely will be going here again. We've eaten a lot around Syracuse, some ok, some disasters but this place was outstanding, a total hidden gem. But if your not from Philadelphia, and are on vacation or heard for a sporting event, most likely you will be disappointed. I'm always being asked where Pats and Ginos is located from out of townersm And have to explaine that there are about 10 places that are much, much better then Pats or Ginos. Read moreHorrible service! Horrible steak subs. My husband and I were looking for a good steak sub, so we Googled it. Gino's came up with a pretty good review, so decided to order from them. The girl at the counter was not to friendly first off! But I picked up and went out and opened up our food right away bc we were starving!! It fell out all over, it was soaked in grease! We still took a bit and it was Horrible, no flavor!! Could definitely hed been hamburger meat and definitely not seasoned!!! I went back in to talk to the manager and the girl at the counter said he would be with me in a few minutes. Well I stood there looking at him waiting!!!
