Dear Jersey Mike’s Management,
Today I visited one of your locations and was disappointed by what I experienced. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the meat slicer had leftover meat on it and was not properly cleaned. When I politely asked if it could be cleaned, the young woman behind the counter—thin, Black, with long eyelashes that appeared as though they could fall into the food—seemed visibly annoyed by the request.
I also observed that the counter area was covered with crumbs, further indicating a lack of cleanliness. This is the second time I’ve had to ask for the slicer to be cleaned at this location. On a prior visit, a young man was more than willing to do so without any attitude, which I appreciated.
As someone who works in customer service and management myself, I firmly believe every customer should be treated with the same level of respect and pleasantness. I was especially disappointed to see this same employee warmly interacting with the couple behind me, in stark contrast to how she responded to me. Every customer deserves to be treated equally—with kindness, professionalism, and care.
Additionally, I want to stress how important it is that staff are properly trained on the health and safety standards of food handling. Cross-contamination—especially when slicing meat and cheese on the same slicer—can pose serious risks for people with allergies and dietary restrictions. Cleanliness is not just about appearance—it’s a matter of public health and customer trust.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and reinforce with your staff the importance of hygiene, professionalism, and consistent customer service. I truly enjoy Jersey Mike’s sandwiches, but experiences like this make it difficult to...
Read moreThis place was a great disappointment. I came in here with a $2 coupon off the $8.50 regular which I could not apply to the "giant". A reg is your standard 6" and a "giant" is 12" and costs $16 after taxes with nothing at all included. There are barely any add-ons to the sandwich and there are 3 bread options mostly looking the same and it was very basic bread, nothing interesting. The place advertises a no-frills good sandwich, but other than the quite decent meat, the rest of the sub was very average. Apart from the price and offerings, this place is loud and uncomfortable, and not the patrons, but the management and staff. It's kept looking like a fast food joint and nothing more. Meanwhile, I waited over 5 minutes for my sub and I was one of 3 people there. I don't know why anyone would bother going here. It's in the plaza with red line, which will do everything this place can do but better. And the Fishkill / Wappingers area has excellent sandwich places - Adams deli, east fishkill provisions, longobardis, and many others, that will all give you a bigger, better sandwich faster with better service and for less money. Jersey mikes is a flop in this area and isn't worth supporting.
Edit: The owner Bernadette has located me on facebook and is harassing me via messenger. This review is on Google, not fb, so she deliberately stalked me. I think that's highly inappropriate. I stand by my review. Everything I...
Read moreThe food was good. I mean, it's jersey mikes, so I wasn't expecting a croque madam or porchetta on a baguett-a. Generally, based on past experiences, jersey mike's is hit-or-miss. The club sandwich was totally what I was craving however, and it definitely delivered.
This review is for the service primarily.. I guess I came in at the tail end of dinner rush, and it seemed like there was a lot of confusion in the kitchen, banging those last tickets out for deliveries. I had to wait for a while, no big. I was impressed with the staff's ability to remain personable and accommodating, to myself and other customers who experienced a lengthy wait. Some folks were irritated, and the staff was apologetic and seemed to be genuinely concerned with keeping everyone happy. Not everyone responded positively, but it's not like it's their fault they were busy.. but they definitely could benefit from adding one more staff member for dinner rush. The employees i spoke to were awesome and funny, and I recommend stopping by sometime. The only complaint is more of a recommendation that they improve staffing, and maybe focus more on serving the customers that are physically waiting in the store, instead of a stack of door dash tickets or whatever.. they can wait a...
