TacoDero @ Filgers East End — Restaurant in Town of Gates

I have been here before to try the tacos. The birria tacos are good, I had the shedded beef the first time and got chicken this time. Both had a good flavor and very filling. The chicken tacos did have so bone in it.

Service: both times I have gone it’s been a one man band. Cashier to cook situation. I got there on a Tuesday 5mins from 4pm when the taco special starts. I was charged full prices when I could waited 5 mins for the special. There was also a lunch special I was not aware until I sat down. If I would had know these specials or offered I would had chosen one of them. Saving 3 to four buck can change the if someone will come back or not.

Atmosphere: this is not a sit down restaurant. They serve there in the to-go containers. The beef tacos were a bit messy. The inside was like an inside food truck,. It’s best to get your food and go.

Overall, it’s ok for what is. The food is good but not something I would go out...

I arrived, the cashier was facing the cooks chit chatting about nothing and they didn’t even bother to tell her there was a customer waiting to pick up even do we made eye contact. If you wanna be ignored for a min this is the place to go lol Great ! Customer service. The cashier was good doe when she realized she had a customer waiting. I ordered a burrito with chicken tinga. The burrito was hot and ready but when I took a bite everything went down hill for me. The chicken was dry, flavor was missing. I tasted a lot of onion that’s it. The rice inside was meh. It felt like I ate a diet burrito lol. I spent 12 dollars and I was not about to waste this burrito. The only way I could take this down was dumping the burrito into nacho cheese, try to get some moisture in there. People if your looking for a burrito just go to taco bell and get a grill cheese ..same size lots of flavor...

We showed up on a Saturday night around 10:00pm because it was next to our hotel that didn't have shower curtains. When we walked in, we were treated with the sounds from DJ Masterpiece (I made that name up) coming from the club next door. 8 of us made a decent sized food order and we decided to hit the club while we waited for everything to be cooked. The bar was jumping with some sexy ladies throwing darts and dancing while we ordered some beers, shots and drinks. Thankfully our food took some time to come out because of our large party so we kicked it for a bit and enjoyed the atmosphere. When we got our food we tipped out and crushed everything we got. Tacos, quesadillas, loaded nachos, etc. It was all very good and fresh.

Food - 10 out of 10 would recommend. Club - 20 out of 10 would absolutely recommend. Hotel next door - 1 out of 10 would recommend to someone...
