1/3/2020. Happy New Year. I find myself on a journey tasting craft beer and seeking out wood fired 🔥 pizza. We walk in the door, greeted with “walk in or reservation?”, to which we responded “walk in”. A couple spaces open up at the bar area, so we decide to take those places. A not so pleasant individual greets us with “did Brian put you here?”. At least 10 minutes pass before we are offered any type of service. I contemplated getting up and walking out. By profession (healthcare sector), I deal with numerous customers on any given day & I understand the impact of POOR customer service. There is 2 beers 🍺 on tap 👎. The pizza 🍕 sauce is bland. The “chef’s” find themselves behind the counter on their cell phones texting and in their wallet handling cash. If you want a nice atmosphere, great customer service & excellent wood fired pizza 🍕 I recommend JoJo’s in Webster (as so far, this has been my best experience and the best wood fired pizza). Cheers 🍻
1/9/2020 Based on your indecorous response I feel the need to follow up. As the owner I surely expected more than this. You've definitely been misinformed, because I certainly didn't make a scene (unless leaving a tip of: check my google review & leaving quietly is considered making a scene) and absolutely have no history of any personal relationships with your staff. I'm sure your server of 18 years is a sweetheart, but this was not my experience on the night in question. I think the most appropriate response from you would have been something like this: "I am sorry for your experience and would be happy to discuss. We strive to ensure our customers have a 5 star dining experience". I will feel no sham (shame) in leaving a non-monetary tip. I tip based on my dining...
Read moreMy husband I tried this place for the first time last night, we made a reservation and upon arrival we were seated right away… But we were sat 2 feet away from the front door at a very small table up against the wall squeezed between the host stand and another table. This seat shouldn’t exist. It was cold everytime the door opened, we couldn’t hear our own conversation because of the conversations happening right over our shoulder at the host stand. We sat for about 10 mins before receiving water or anything, the host offered to bring us water. We could clearly see the waitress had an over load of tables, and all though she was very nice, she was unable to provide attentive service because of this. We ordered drinks, and went straight to ordering entrees, no apps, no salads, we both tried the specials, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. It took the waitress 20 minutes to even come back to our table to ask if we needed another drink. We asked the host if the kitchen was backed up or if it was normal to wait this long and her response was very snippy. Finally our food arrived and was delivered by a taller gentleman…. The portion size was very small. Not worth $45. The scallops and orzo were cooked perfectly and tasted very good but the amount of butter that melted off the scallops to the side made me believe my food had been sitting under the warmer for longer than it should have. We ate our food, and finished before our waitress even came back. She did not check on us after our food was dropped off. The small table, cold and loud area being on-top of the entrance door was ignorable if our experience had got better, but it didn’t. Not worth the $120 we spent for just drinks and entrees. Oh and don’t forget the $10 we paid...
Read moreThe first time I came here with some friends it was almost immediately when the restaurant opened and we had an AMAZING experience. It was so great that when my boyfriend and I needed a place to eat before a concert I picked here. And man that was a mistake.
We ate here on 3/12/25. I had a reservation. The waitress who sat us ignored that. And then later came back to confirm that I said we had a reservation.
Service was good at first. And then it got busy and Renee was nowhere to be found. We had to flag her down several times.
Then the meals. My boyfriend got the "sea" special. The tuna was so overcooked he asked me if he misunderstood the special and didn't realize there was pork in it. The shrimp and the half lobster tail were rubbery. There was so much bur blanc sauce in the couscous that it was basically a soup. He ate less than half of it and for a $50 meal that was a huge rip-off.
I ordered the chicken parm and the waitress brought me chicken French. She then brought me the correct meal which somehow managed to be cold even though it was just remade?
Not only was it cold it was surprisingly bland. So that also was only about half eaten.
When she came and asked us how we felt about the food, we told her that the food was terrible and we weren't going to finish and we needed the check. She asked well. Was my service good? And I told her yes because we needed to get to the show but honestly no. We paid full price for food that we didn't eat. And we had to flag her down frequently.
I can't justify spending $118 on a meal that neither of us ate. Absolutely disappointed and it will be a long time before I'm willing to even consider...
