Was taken here on a lunch date Wednesday at noon. When we arrived, they hadn’t opened the doors yet and were still mopping and getting ready. Once they opened the doors and we went in, we were greeted by our server/bartender Richie Rich! It seems like someone called out/was late or they’re short staffed because he was doing everything! We were the first guests there but a few other tables came in after us and he was also their server. Despite him having to do EVERYTHING, Richie Rich’s service was top tier! He was still very attentive, pleasant, and friendly. He was also knowledgeable about the menu items and made a few suggestions that we fully enjoyed.
Drinks: I started with the margarita flight $29 and she had the Pinot Grigio $7 on happy hour. You get to pick 4 flavors for the flight. I chose passion fruit , pomegranate, mango, and strawberry- they were all good and preferred in that list order. She stuck with the wine and I switched to the smoky rosemary pineapple margarita $17. This was so good I had 3 more. We also had some green tea shots on the house- thanks Rich!
Food: we started with the crab cakes $19, spicy honey garlic wings $15, and mussels $18. We ended up sending back the mussels because they didn’t smell right and got the baked clams $14 instead. The wings were the winner here! They were soo juicy inside with a nice crunch outside and the flavors blended perfectly. The baked clams and the crab cakes were really good too. For our entrees we had the 2 items Richie Rich said were his favorites and we were not disappointed. I had the grilled tomahawk pork chop with asparagus and mashed potatoes (instead of the roasted potatoes) $36 and she had the crab stuffed shrimp with roasted potatoes and steamed spinach $35. The pork chop was nice and thick and cooked to perfection. It was seasoned well with a citrus herb marinade and topped with a garlic Parmesan cream sauce that was just so yummy! I had to ask for some extra to go for the rest of my chop. The crabmeat shrimp was really good as well.
Honestly, funky mussels aside, the entire experience was amazing! They have some daily specials as well like 20% off on Tuesdays for first responders (will be back for this lol), ladies night with 1/2 off drinks on Thursdays, and a few others. Can’t wait to go back and try some...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. Imagine having a 12:45 brunch reservation and arriving to an empty restaurant. We were seated promptly and given time to look at the menu before our waitress approached us for our order. When I inquired about the rice bowls, she gave me a look that screamed "pick something else." I decided to go for breakfast instead of lunch and asked about their most popular dish. She recommended the Country Breakfast Skillet, supposedly a popular choice. My son ordered the Belgium Waffle, my daughter the French Toast with chocolate chips, and for appetizers, we chose the Spicy Honey Garlic wings. Our drinks were a mango Bellini, a Mimosa, and a glass of orange juice.
The wings arrived in a timely manner, but the drinks came after the appetizers. Despite this, the wings were tasty, and we enjoyed them.
At 1:35, our waitress asked if we wanted another round of mimosas, and we agreed. I also inquired about our food, and she assured us it would be out shortly. Five minutes later, our meals arrived. My Country Breakfast Skillet was served in an oversized skillet that could have held twice the portion I was given. It was an immediate turn-off. To make matters worse, my son's waffle was cold, and my daughter's French Toast was incorrect—they brought her S’mores instead of chocolate chips. We had to wait again for them to redo it. The menu claimed it was brioche bread, but it looked like regular Wonder Bread.
With a 3:00 appointment looming, I asked for the bill, as our second round of drinks had still not arrived. Another five minutes passed, and my daughter's food came—still not on brioche bread and undercooked. We finally received the bill and containers to take our food to go, but still no drinks. The manager came over after overhearing our dissatisfaction, and I reiterated how unhappy I was. When the bill came, I paid and left, vowing never to return.
The waitress was pleasant, but this was the worst dining experience I've had at a new restaurant. If this place manages to stay in business, it will be a surprise. I will never go back and will make sure to share this horrendous experience with others. A complete waste of...
Read moreI’m sorry to say but we really wanted to love this place, but we are the most disappointed we’ve been in a very, very long time .
Why?- first of all, we arrived a little before 530 in the evening on a Thursday night. We didn’t leave until AFTER 730. The food took absolutely forever and our waitress was not attentive at all during the process. She didn’t even check on us or apologize for the wait. Our waters and drinks sat empty and our chips were never refilled (which they surprise charge you at the end for byyyy the way in our case)
It took another waiter to tell us that the “WiFi is down “ and that’s why the food Was taking so long. Obviously if you read the other reviews you’ll see that’s a lie because waiting for food and a two hour experience (or nightmare) is commonplace at this establishment.
The food- after waiting two hours my stuffed chicken was overcooked , the octopus appetizer seemed to not even have that much octopus at all…..the asparagus was cold bitter and looked as if ran over by a vehicle. The salmon was also overdone and dry. Food is lackluster as far as seasoning.
The best part of the meal was the guacamole (that I was double charged for) and the French fries.
So the end all be all to this is that we waited two hours, got one apology from a waiter that wasn’t even ours, and watched every table but us get food and we waited. None of the team communicated to any manager or anything after knowing all the problems and it seemed the management was more concerned with their personal guests. They didn’t offer condolences, offer any sort of sorry and no attempt to rectify any of the issues.
So for 237 dollars (so we agree over priced) we got a mediocre meal.
One positive, there’s a dj
My recommendation is to explore the other options like Cabo or one of the many other options while visiting...
