Pepe's Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I have nothing but good things to say about this place and it's a lifesaver. The workers are so friendly. Especially the Lady that's like the right hand to the owner of this place. ( Sorry I can't remember her name, but her son name is Fernando and sometimes he helps out) Food is delicious. Love their roasted chicken and love how they allow me to customize my scrambled eggs every morning. Rather if I want broccoli 🥦 added, chopped chicken cutlet in it or chopped steak and onions in it this woman I'm speaking of never complains. I also noticed whenever they handle the money, they always wash their hands before they prepare your food. Has a variety of drinks. Place is clean and very reasonable. All these reasons is why I come here everyday. I believe they also own the butcher/ fruit stand nextdoor and I love that place too. I get my fresh juices and smoothies there. Roxanna is one of the workers there and she's just a Joy. Whatever shake/ juice idea I have. She makes it. No problem. These two places are gems and I go nowhere else. Glad they're close to where I work. Hope they never leave or never go out of business. They're great to the Hempstead community. I definitely recommend this place and the fruit stand/butcher...

While I do really like their Pork and Cheese Pupusas, I am not happy with the service. There is one cashier there who always seems to be having a bad day as she is not very nice at all and is constantly snapping at customers, especially when customers ask her to do something like, I don't know, make some food or serve the food, etc. I think she might be going through some bad times. Working in customer service is not an easy job, but don't take that out on...
