Had the most horrible experience today there at the Wendy's on Merrick Road, Merrick, NY.
We waited on line behind one person, and it literally took 20 minutes because the girl behind the counter couldn't grasp, in both English and Spanish, that the poor guy wanted a baked potato instead of French Fries. We finally got there, and we ordered the exact same thing for my 7 year old that we ordered twice a week for the last 3 years. It's a 4 piece kids meal, with an extra 4 pieces, and one single cookie instead of a Frosty. The manager was completely rude and refused to do that. I explained that we had been doing this for years, and it was a big no. She said she doesn't care. So I bought the cookie. Then she hands my 7 year old his plastic cup for soda, and she gives us a cup that's size is more suited for mouth wash and resembled nothing like a kid's cup at anytime, anywhere, in any fast food restaurant, most notably at any Wendy's in America. Because of her complete rudness and abundantly poor attitude, this Wendy's franchise just lost a good customer who lives around the corner from this poorly run, third rate interpretation of a fast food chain. Mr. Franchise owner, do better, hire better people, and explain to them that customer service is what keeps customers coming, not chicken or a burger that can be purchased from another Wendy's franchise one mile away. Read moreThis Wendy’s is without question, the worst in existence. I have never received an order from here where everything was done correctly, or all paid for contents of my order were received. I’ve complained online, by phone, and I’ve spoken to store “managers.” Despite this, nothing has changed. In one instance, I called and spoke to a manager, explaining that I’m always missing items when I receive my orders. I asked her to ensure that I receive everything I ordered. When the order was received, three items were missing. You can’t make this stuff up. All my orders are by delivery, and unfortunately, the Wendy’s app always selects this store based on my address. I have inquired how to change this, and no luck. In today’s order, I asked for my spicy chicken sandwich to be plain. It’s as clear as day on my receipt, but you wouldn’t know it based on what I received. Everything I asked not to be on the sandwich was there. My junior bacon cheeseburger had no cheese. I don’t know what it is with this store, but they need to clean house and start from scratch. Read moreI go to this Wendy's usually one or 2 times a week on my lunch break. It being Saturday and being a short lunch break I decided I was going to come here for just a chili. Walked inside with only 2 people in front of me. Waited for 15 minutes because they were having trouble with the computers. Listen I know Sh* happens sometimes so I didn't mind waiting. I ordered my large chili and the cashier looks at me when its time to pay and says the credit card machine is not working either. I said wow thanks for the heads up or even putting a sign up so other people dont sit therir and wait who are using cards. Manager was over at the other register and just starred at me like I had 2 heads. All the other workers were sitting there chuckling. Another customer offered to pay. Which I was not going to take a random strangers money. All in all there could have been a sign up no credit cards. I will not be coming back to the place where the workers don't take customer service serious. VERY BAD MANAGEMENT...
