Terrible terrible customer service and cakes. I don’t want anyone else to end up in this scenario. Two thumbs down to Buttercooky Bakery in Huntington. We ordered our first cake from them back in March for my mom’s 60th birthday. It was a special year and we wanted to do a big, beautiful cake to celebrate. Unfortunately by the time the cake was served it completely collapsed. I understand things can get damaged in transit but this was different. We ordered a chocolate strawberry cake and the layer of strawberry jam was so thick that the cake just separated entirely and collapsed. I called and was told there’s no refunds and ultimately had to accept this. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, I decided to give them a second chance because maybe the first mistake was a fluke. I ordered a berry Millefeuille cake (pictured in the email) for my husband’s birthday. I spoke with Olga over email first where I specified it would be a Millefeuille cake with berries, cream and a crisp filo dough. I was sure to explain over the phone, we did not want a napoleon as my husband does not like napoleon cakes. Well the day of comes and my mother in law picked up the cake and when it got to me we opened it to see that in fact it was a napoleon cake. No berries in sight. We live about 40 minutes from the bakery and I was hosting a party so there was no time to get back there before they closed. When I called Olga was very apologetic, agreed we had discussed the berries and millefeuille cake and told me Brooke would be in touch to rectify the situation. She was shocked that we got a plain napoleon cake. I waited over a week for a call back from Brooke and nothing. I called again and was told she would call me the next day, nothing. Called again and Olga said Brooke would be in touch and again nothing. Started to feel like I was being dodged. Finally I call from a different number and Brooke answers. When I explained what happened, I was told that they’d talk to their bakers but nothing would be done to rectify the situation. She was rude and couldn’t wait to get me off the phone. I was also told that it’s “close enough” to a millefeuille so it should be fine. How does this make sense? They sent me the wrong cake entirely and yet im the one who has to accept it? I was embarassed to serve my mom the original cake and embarassed again when I served my husband the napoleon cake. Moreover, I ordered pistachio pastries that all fell apart immediately. Read moreWorst tres leches cake ever!!! What a joke you call this tres leches?? Super dry, just a regular cake with whip cream and fruits on top. Had the tres leches cake from the same branch different location from Floral Park for the first time at my aunts birthday party and it was delicious. I wanted the same cake for my birthday but unfortunately Floral Park is far from my house and so is the Huntington but because I love the cake so much I had to get it for my birthday and went to the Huntington location since its closer from my home. This is how you get business people!! I liked the cake from a party and went to get it on my own. When I got home I was filled with disappointments on how come this cake was just a regular cake? I called the store and they told me I can bring it in but I couldn’t do that because I live 30 minutes away I wasn’t going to go back and forth. They told me I can take the picture and have a call with the manager Paula. I talked to Paula on the phone and she was not owning up to the fact that the cake was indeed dry, took a couple of days for her to tell me that the cake was not soaked over night and that she can give me store credit. When I got to the store a month later to give them another try Paula told me if you don’t like the cake this time don’t ever come to store again. How extremely rude! And in fact I did not like the cake again and will gladly never come again. Bad customer service would never recommend for anyone to come to this location ever.

Read moreSo I have been a loyal customer since floral park and when they opened so happy to have them close to home overall they cakes are truly amazing but the last few times I have been having so many issues time after time 1st bad experience I ordered a Napoleon cake for a surprise birthday and when I go to pick it up no one knows where it is or if was made or not. I had no choice but to take 3 different little cakes I place of it and got a credit for there mistake. I never got a good explanation to what happened but I still came back. Yesterday I have ordered a cake for my husband and had to cancel because he was very sick and came in to let them know in advance to change it for Saturday again my receipt was located and the girl told don't worry it is changed to Saturday me being me went anyway to make sure it wasn't made. and was told that it wasn't made and I was all good for Saturday. I left after a while I realized that I had a missed call from them and long and behold the found the cake that was supposed to be for saturday.i go back very upset because I had already brought another cake for my husband to have a small one and then they show it to me and go so do you want it or you want it for saturday still i said yes it is already made. I ask so how come when I came in no one found it the response was o it was in a fridge that it wasn't supposed to be in I was told someone was going to call me but I don't think anyone is going to.sad to say I have been let down too many times and have to start going...
