Sorrentino's Delicatessen & Market — Restaurant in Town of Moreau

One star is toooooo much for this establishments. After reading the other reviews I guess my 2 visits recently will probably go unanswered or even acknowledged by the owner. Both times I purchased from the deli, and both times I was ignored for over 10 minutes, the only employee that actually cares is the cashier. I did tell her I would not come back. To the employee who finally waited on me behind the deli after staring at me several times while she went about her business of wrapping & cleaning for the closing procedures-(the store was closing in 15 minutes.) You should find a job that is not in customer service. The customer is what pays your salary....in case you were unaware.....less customers....stores close. Just a thought. My bigger issue is I was given the very end of the Boars head roastbeef. She made it a point to throw the very end of the meat in a bucket before handing me my order. I wish I had left it there, however we were eating subs for dinner & I was a bit "steamed" at that point. P.S. The roastbeef that lasted 2 days! Now I am throwing out $7.00 worth of lunch meat. I wish people cared more these days. Service & quality are not high priority at...

I'm throwing a rare five stars here for a couple simple reasons. It's a no-frills, old style establishment ... Simple parking lot, very plain entrance, but when I walked in it was as if I'd gone back in time. A small, family-run grocery/deli/butcher shop, very neighborhood-y, and nicely stocked with all things food-related. But the deli. Everything you could hope for, from the basics to wonderful sandwiches -- basic, and specialties, and daily specials as well. Salads, and other items looked delicious. I didn't utilize the meat counter, or the produce section, but they were both clean, basic, and well stocked. It's a fun place. Steady, well-run, well-stocked --- oh, and the sandwich I got? The Goombah ... absolutely delicious. Other sandwich shops that do nothing BUT sandwiches could learn a few things from these guys. They may not be super fast, but take a chance on a pleasantly calmer atmosphere in an otherwise busy...

Imported cheese and meats are delicious. However, if you are going to this store thinking about how wonderful the customer service is going to be…. You will be severely disappointed. The deli workers look at you like you are disrespectful and disgusting for interrupting their conversations, the butchers make it seem like you don’t exist, and the check out persons are just mad all the way around. No matter how you approach these workers please beware… it’s not you it’s them. To encounter such remarkably horrible customer service across all facets of a company makes it very difficult to say “wow we had such a great time, it was so wonderful… blah blah blah” the way your staff treats your customers effectively taints the taste and quality of the food. I would recommend a “smile policy or smile incentive” something to make the situation improve. We won’t be back and it’s a shame because this place has been a staple in...
