They have some good items (turtle bar) but the service is simply horrid!! One of the bars I got literally had confectionary paper in it...I'll update this with some pics recently.
Also, my wife and I do a date night thing where if I'm working late, I'll buy a gift card as an IOU...after spending hundreds of dollars on GCs they basically told me that I can't order them and they'll be canceling my orders going forward...
Never saw a business treat customers so poorly. Nonetheless, I will not be ordering going forward.
Update in response to business's comment:
I spoke down to someone at the shop? I should include pictures of your e-mails. I'm referring to the horrid service in regards to the e-mails I received. In-person, I had nothing but a great experience with the folks there so I am surprised at your comment. Nonetheless, it is unfortunate that you'd resort to false statements. Happy to see where you think I was being rude via e-mail or otherwise. Again, in store it has been nothing but positive and great exchanges with the folks at the counter.
I explained the gift card situation. First I purchased them because we give out gift favors but I couldn't do that with these since they were LINKED with an e-mail so I wound up using them. Subsequently, during my busy times at work I'd purchase them as IOUs. Please see the explanation snip attached.
As a vegan and more importantly a human, I think honesty is extremely important among other values I treasure. As a vegan business, I would have thought you'd consider the same.
Nonetheless, I will chalk this up to potential missed e-mails/miscommunications but I will not shop or endorse given...
Read moreI wish I lived nearby, because this is my new favorite coffee shop. I’ve been vegan for ten years and I can’t recall ever finding a completely vegan coffee shop, let alone a confectionary! There were so many options I found it impossible to choose and we had to go back later. I had the rose cardamom latte and a chipotle cream cheese croissant, and I can’t recommend them both enough. I also love their ethics, and felt so comforted and at home with the decor. Noelle rang us up and was knowledgeable and friendly, and Avalon made our drinks so skillfully (really good microfoam on those lattes!) I’m gonna try to squeeze in another visit before we leave the area because it’s by far my favorite place we’ve gone.
There is only one negative thing I have to say- it is great that they are so up front about using a lot of nuts, and make you aware about cross contamination. That being said, it would be nice to know exactly what nuts are in which items. My boyfriend is fine with cross contamination, he just can’t eat a few kinds of nuts directly. It would be nice to know whether it’s, say, almonds (which he can eat), or pecans (which he cannot). I wanted to share my food with him and was a little sad I couldn’t. But other than that my experience...
Read moreDuring my visit to Lagusta's Luscious last fall, I had an extraordinary encounter with their chocolate confections that continues to linger in my memories. As a vegan for six years, finding delectable vegan chocolate hasn't been an easy task, but Lagusta has managed to master it. I can't quite recall the specific chocolates I ordered from my curated box of eight, but each piece was an explosion of flavor, decadence, and pure delight.
Not only were the chocolates incredible, but the staff at Lagusta's were also friendly, patient, and eager to assist. They graciously answered our numerous questions, ensuring we felt valued and well-informed. The warm and inviting atmosphere of the place added to the overall enjoyment of the experience. I am so enthralled by Lagusta's Luscious chocolates that I would willingly make a special trip to New Paltz just to indulge in their delectable creations. Whether you are a chocolate enthusiast or a vegan seeking a remarkable treat, Lagusta's Luscious is an absolute must-visit...
