Went with 2 ppl for my aunts bday, there was a bit of a wait but when it was our time to be seated, the hostess wanted to sit us in a middle aisle table, which is not ideal for a high chair. She stated there was another table in the other room near a corner but not a booth. We preferred the booth, which was just recently emptied and only needed to be cleaned. When I asked her about the booth, she asked if we requested one, I said no, I didn't know we had to. She said the ppl after us did, and I explained that was is irrelevant for the mere fact that we were their prior to them and should be accommodated as such. She didn't say anything. I didn't push it bc I didn't want to argue on my aunts bday, especially before we ordered..so I viewed the table in the other room and accepted it, as it was quieter. I disregarded that incident. Skip ahead to our Server who was polite up until the very end. Now I normally tip based off service, not based off the suggested amount that goes off the total amount of your meal, which has nothing to do with the waiters service. The bill was not high, but a guest and I split the bill to celebrate my aunts bday. I chose to tip $20. Apparently that was not acceptable to the server whose demeanor quickly changed and actually ruined the experience. He became cold, ignored us, and kept turning his head when addressed. Once again, I was not in the mood to complain or argue so we let it go and left the restaurant but honestly I regret giving him even that much after seeing his true personality. For the review, I will disclose that his name is Rick, and if a supervisor is reading this, it should be addressed. A tip is earned, and should not be expected or forced, or suggested. It really took away from the experience. So from our first entrance to our final exit, the service was extremely disappointing. I will most likely not return to this location, or recommend, there are honestly too many others for a...
Read moreWent with my husband and 3 kids. Only good thing was we got seated right away. The food was decent. Went for endless shrimp, our waiter kept avoiding our table, never asked how we were doing, if we needed anything after initially introducing herself as our waitress. I had to constantly call her over and see seemed annoyed by that. For the endless shrimp, the waitress act as if I’m asking her to bring the shrimp from her house, everytime I ordered more. She told me I could only order one at a time, I said ok, understandable. Then when she brought what I ordered which took forever!!!! I ordered more because it seems like they are taking forever in the kitchen(and like I mentioned she disappears). She told me I have to finish what’s in-front of me first before I order more shrimp. Umm… What excuse me!!! So you’re telling me I have to look for you to order, then order, wait a long wait to get my one order of shrimp, then eat the one order of shrimp then I can order more shrimp!!!??? So much for endless shrimp !!!! A little advice if you’re going to advertise endless shrimp please put on that same advertisement “how you can order”. Mind you I called earlier to see if the restaurant participated in the promotion and ask how it works they never mentioned that. I should also add we didn’t just order endless, we had 3 orders of the ultimate feast amongst others menu items including drinks. I would definitely not go back. I don’t know if that only happens at this location or that’s how they do it. Either way I would not recommend!!!! Years ago probably before the pandemic we tried the endless shrimp promotion, twice, and it was not like this. Manager was no where in sight also or else I would ask for clarification. Forgot to mention I asked for parmesan(never received it). I had to remind her like 3 times for some biscuits. I believe the waitress name...
Read moreLast night, at around 6-7.30 PM, my wife and I had a very unpleasant experience at the Red Lobster we usually frequent. What occurred yesterday should not be overlooked.
We were attended to by a black server named Armani. Upon serving us our appetizer, which was excessively salty, she simply placed it on the table and walked away. She seemed preoccupied with chatting with other customers at the bar and didn't bother to inquire about our satisfaction with the food. Later, when our main courses arrived at our table brought by a trainee, Armani failed to ask us about our drink preferences. We had informed her that we would order drinks after receiving our food. Instead of attending to us, she continued loudly conversing with patrons at the bar. We sought assistance from the trainee who eventually brought us something to drink.
Since Armani neglected to communicate with us while we were eating, I asked her for our bill. Typically, there is an electronic device placed on each table for payment purposes at Red Lobster. When I requested it so that I could settle the bill electronically, she responded in an unnecessary rude manner by asking whether I wanted to pay with cash or credit card. Her condescending tone embarrassed me and even shocked my wife. Without another word, she left our table saying "good night."
I do not want to judge this establishment solely based on one person's behavior; however, I sincerely hope this incident will not occur again in the future as my entire family visits this location every two...
