Village Delicatessen — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I have been a customer for 30+ years ordering food pretty much 5 days a week and at times twice a day. Today Scott told us we are no longer customers of theirs because we are nothing put problems. We ordered food for us and a coffee for a client. It was over an hour waiting for our delivery and the customer left so we called to just cancel the coffee. I guess he miss understood and maybe thought we ment cancel the order. After all these years of no complains knowing the staff and Scott being a generous tipper. An never calling back and complaining about food that i have found a hair in egg shell or not cooked and food that has gone bad. Also when you go in and see them wearing gloves but they handle the money and register wearing them an touch your food 🤢 gross. They don't want us as a customer they are doing...

I ordered a ham and swiss sandwich with chicken cutlet mayo and lettuce. The sandwich alone was ELEVEN DOLLARS. By the time they rung up my sandwich drink and chips the bill was over 15 DOLLARS. I got a big Gatorade wich they charged me 3.85 for. In the supermarket that Gatorade is a dollar. I understand they have overhead but this deli is one of the most greediest delis I have ever been too. Never will I spend my money in there again. Even after explaining that the price was way too high they just rung me up and dismissed it as not my problem....

I will start out with the good, the sandwich was very tasty, no doubt about that but the price, dear Lord... $16.00 for a BLT sub and soda!!?!?! When the girl at the counter told me the price I thought she was mistaking a second sandwich on he counter for mine as well and I corrected her. She confirmed that the single sub was indeed the $16.00 she originally told me.

Let me tell you, I ate that sub real slow, enjoyed every bite of that $16.00 bacon. Again, it was a good sammie, but too rich my blood. Will not be...
