Placed an online order. Three out of four liked their meal. Probably not enough to order takeout from again, but generally liked what they got and ate everything. Two got the pineapple mango shrimp tacos, one- the blackened chicken burrito, and the fourth - the fresh bowl with crispy tofu. Except for the fresh bowl; the portions were decent. The burrito could make a small meal for two. The sauces provided with all the dishes were a bit of a mystery. Never figured out what the cream sauces were that came with the fresh bowl but neither tasted good. Since neither are listed as part of the dish or identified on the menu, I can't tell you which one's I recommend avoiding. The yucca fries were liked, and the plantains good, the rice was bland.
Unfortunately, the item descriptions don't list everything that's in a dish. Not always a big deal but if you're lactose intolerant or vegan, the meal description or sauce you see that looks/sounds dairy free is not, so make sure you ask. I've heard the restaurant is accommodating, so if you have dietary restrictions call and place your order rather than use the online app. Or dine-in, which maybe the better option all around.
If you can't already tell, the fresh bowl was the clear loser in this order. The amount of tofu in the dish was decent and it was season nicely, but the rest of the "bowl" was mostly iceberg lettuce. There was maybe 3/4 of a shot glass size amount of the corn salsa, and rice, and beans. The cheese, which isn't listed on the online order app, came in a melted clump in the corner of the container.
I can't really speak to the restaurant itself, but when I walked in to pick-up our order it looked cute and comfortable and...
Read moreWe decided to go here because a bunch of people were eating outside and so we thought it would be a popular place to go with solid food options. We didn't make the right choice. The menu is more or less standard bar food, and there is a lack of substantial vegetarian options. In fact, the vegetarian options are some of the laziest there could be: a salad, a quesadilla, or tofu tacos. Not even an Impossible Burger, even though their burger menu is half a page long. When the food finally came, it was decent, but nothing special. They skimp on the fries—I got like 12 of them. Our waitress did not make the experience any better. She seemed to be rushing us through the meal even though the restaurant wasn't busy, even bringing us our bill before we were finished eating. I watched her haplessly break hot sauce bottles at other tables. TL;DR:...
Read moreWaited around at the entrance by the hostess station before anyone even knew we were there, sat outside. Waitress was good and did provide prompt service, however the food was blah, made very lazy, Nachos sucked with maybe two tablespoons of meat on it. Very few vegetables on it as well, mostly lettuce. The combo of beer cheese on nachos didn’t flow and I retreated after a few bites. Cheeseburger was just over priced for average. Menu was limited, No diet sodas, limited bar, and no chicken wings. I understand difficulty in having availablity and variety, maybe it will be better...
