Moo Moo's Creamery - The World’s Best Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Town of Philipstown

This ice cream shop touts that it is the " Best Ice Cream Shop in the World". Well, It is certainly not the best shop I can guarantee you it definitely does not have the best ice cream. I've been in many places with much better ice cream than this.

This is a very nice town with very nice people and very nice people work at this shop but the ice cream is not good. Normally I would let this slide and not write a review had they not said they were the best ice cream but since they have this as their motto , I have to reply.

It was a rather hot day when I went to their shop. First problem, Their ice cream shouldn't be melting while it is still in the freezer dispite the 88deg temp. The servers went for the softer ice cream in the containers as it was easier for them to put into the cone but that does not help the customer and unfortunate for me as my ice cream started melting before I got out the door. Usually this means there are little or no emulsifiers in the ice cream, which would be a good thing but in this case it just means the ice cream wasn't cold enough.

If that were the only issue I still probably wouldn't have written this and just marked it down as a lot of people were buying ice cream and the freezers are open too long.

I love ice cream. Some people have problems with drugs, some with alcohol, my addiction is ice cream. I eat a lot. From many places and this ice cream is mediocre at best.

I understand other people may like it and everybody's tastes are different but maybe they have not had really good or even average ice cream.

I have no trouble eating a pint of Haagen-Dazs at one sitting and not feeling bad or sick. This cone I threw out three-quarters of the way down because I felt sick . My wife did the same. The flavors we tried we're just not tasty and at over $4 for one large scoop, I should enjoy every bite.

We tried three flavors, creamsicle, black raspberry and oatmeal raisin. None were even close to other places we've been. All I can say is the taste and texture of this ice cream is off. Had I done a taste test of all the flavors , I don't believe I would have purchased any.

I don't find it fun bashing a restaurant or ice cream establishment. This is someone livelihood . I only hope that they will rethink there ice cream formula and make it much better.

If you choose to get a cone here, beware of the napkins they wrap around your cone. They are biodegradable so If the ice cream touches the napkin, the napkin will dissolve and stick to the cone. I dont like eating napkins. Just a warning ! We won't go again unless they...

Very disappointed not worth the 30min wait, been going here for years. I understand the covid rules but mabey display you ice cream selection on the front porch for everyone to see before you get to window may speed up the line. Also having to yell across room to order rather than taking your order at window. **Thanks for you quick witty response unfortunately when you have 3 young children waiting in line for over 30min in hot sun things can get frustrating. Blame it on pandemic sure has nothing to do with every person walking up to window and spending 2-3 minutes just to pick a flavour i spent enough time on your lkne to watch and count. And where does it say outside your establishment to look up flavors on Instagram or Facebook what if i don't have either. God forbid it inconveniences your employees to change you sign daily which you stated before you do anyway instead you have no problem charging exorbitantly high nyc prices for mediocre...

This is quite possibly my favorite ice cream spot tied with Van Leeuwan that have several stores throughout the city. This ice cream is seriously delicious and all the flavors did not disappoint. From the basics, to the creative, to the toppings, it just doesn't miss (like the cool kids say nowadays). All the flavors you can taste in all it's creamy glory, the scoops are generous and the pricing is totally worth it.

It taste even that much more worth it if you take a nice hike through Breakneck Ridge and then make Cold Spring your destination to have this ice cream. Especially on a warm spring or hot summer day. WOW. It just hits.

Then go sit back at the Hudson River, take in the sites and just lick away your ice cream.

This ice cream is damn worth it!
