Have loves moes food. But the customer service at the queensbury location has made me decide to no longer order from them. There have been so many instances lately that I have overlooked but tonights issues have sealed the deal for me. I will be quiet no longer. In the past, i overlooked the fact that I was once in there as were several others, waiting patiently in line. After probably 20 mins of watching the employees making order after order for online orders, even several that came in way after any of us had gotten into the location, someone finally spoke up and asked if they were going to start taking the orders of people standing in line to which the answer was, we have to do all online orders that come in first. The woman responded with why would you not at least alternate between online and in person orders. Several times, the employees have been absolutely miserable. On employee put mushrooms on my order and that was not what I had asked for,. I noticed there was a piece left in the bowl after he had removed them so I asked if he could also get that one before they covered it with the other stuff to which I got nothing but attitude as he pulled it off and tossed it on the floor behind him. Tonight, i actually decided to do door dash. Unfortunately can not make a comment online because this location refuses to accept special requests online so after ordering i called to see if they could go light on the black beans and add cucumbers because they do not offer them online. As I was speaking i was cut off and told, yeah i will tell them. When my food arrived, notice, she heard the light black beans but was in to much of a hurry and didnt hear me say add cucumber…not a huge deal but why cut me off. Then go to take out my queso to put some on my food, the outside of the container is covered in queso…okay, i understand, you get it on the outside, is it that hard to keep a rag handy to clean it off a bit…n the last thing…the lovely free chips and salsa…tons of chips, maybe enough salsa to eat two chips. N don’t get me wrong, i understand, retail, fast food, and customer service jobs right now and really anytime is tough, have worked retail all my life. I know it may take a few extra seconds but don’t be rude, listen to someone until they are done, take the extra second to wipe that container clean. Read moreSo as a frequented of Moes and Chipotle in varying cities, I have to say this particular location suffers from a few details in particular. While having a superior interior decor compared to its neighboring Chipotle, the dining room and food prep areas are poorly maintained and visibly dirty even during a very slow dinner hour.
As I'm witnessing the preparation of what I'm ordering I can clearly see that the hot tray for various ingredients aren't maintained cleaned or wiped down throughout dinner service.
Smears of various things on the edge of containers in the burrito bar creates a sense of insecurity and anxiety about the food you're eating. Especially when key ingredients in burrito are lacking or poorly portioned like black beans and rice you know you're going to get a misproportioned burrito which might sound like a trivial complaint until you eat a mouthful of lettuce and salsa and you can't taste rice or beans, that only reinforces the on edge feelings of seeing a messy poorly maintained kitchen.
I have to say I've been to both chipotle and Moes Queensbury locations multiple times now and every time Chipotles facility despite lacking decor is much better maintained in cleanliness portion control and appearance.
Having the blessing and privilege of a full dining room area this location could easily be 5 stars but both the burrito bar and self serve area are consistently messy and poorly maintained which is a huge indicator that it's not a priority for the staff or management.
The nail in the coffin is that there's a virtual prompt for a suggested tip which for most lunch goers who need a place to relax and compose is a point of major aggravation and discontempt after witnessing an environment with just a little more attention to detail could be awesome but tragically falls short at a point that seems to be caused by nothing other than apathy.
Both what I ordered and dining /food prep area score a 3 out of 5 for Service/dining areas
And a 2 out of 5 for the burrito I ordered because gain majority of the filling was lettuce guac salsa and not nearly enough rice/beans.
If youre honest with yourself and visualize/emulate what a mouthful majority of lettuce flour corn and salsa taste like that approximates my experience.

Read moreWent into Moe’s because we placed a mobile order for a cup of queso and chips. Once we got in there we decided that we were just going to order food and dine in instead. We were going through the line got our food. We were trying to use our $10 off rewards it says to see an employee for help on the app because it wasn’t working. We asked the employee why it might not work she said because we earned points for an online order so it wouldn’t work. We understood. So we looked at other rewards we might have that wasn’t money off that you got because of spending money and points. We had a free chicken queso crunch taco with a purchase. We asked to used that instead. The cashier with brown hair and glasses I wish I caught her name was immediately giving a major attitude. Rolling her eyes like it was such a problem that we wanted to use a reward. The other employee was yelling over to register saying that it shouldn’t work. Which I didn’t understand because we didn’t have to pay for anything in order to use the reward or coupon. The woman scanned out the free taco and said well it worked; either way it’s still this amount of money. She then said to answer a question on the screen about a tip. Which I had to laugh at because with the attitude that was coming from both the employees was so comical that the idea and the thought to ask for a tip was hilarious to me. Once we finally paid and got all our food we walked out to the dining area and the entire dining area was so dirty all tables were covered in food. Food all over the floor. High chairs caked in food.
