Filetto's Commack — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

One of the silver linings of moving is getting a chance to try some new places to eat; particularly my passion for local Italian places...:) A recent transplant to Dix Hills/Commack area, I have been to Filetto's in Commack a few times; a spot of casual Italian-American dining. The restaurant features pizza, pasta dishes, and other Italian mains, along with a small bar tucked in the back. The Pizza has been consistently delicious, with a soft crust, delicious sauce, and great for reheating. The Pinwheel is crispy outside, soft inside, with plenty large. The buffalo chicken pizza is also recommended. The pasta dishes like Shrimp Oreganata, Chicken Francese, and Lobster Ravioli have all received praise for their flavor and quality. The Penne Alla Vodka has also been a highlight as a delicious option. As to appetizers, the eggplant rollatini slice is delicious and flavorful. The Fried Calamari with Fra Diavolo sauce is also amazing flavor and perfect cooking. Soup also looks good. There is a variety of Specials, particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays, that offer good value, including a pasta entrée, salad, mini cannoli, and coffee or tea all for $16.99. Delivery is available.

In conjunction with the consistent good food, there is friendly and attentive staff: The servers are commended for their attentiveness, menu knowledge, and friendly demeanor. Clean and spacious environment; surprisingly large dining room. It can be described as comfortable and romantic, certainly part of a date night for sure. There is live entertainment, including a singer performing songs from the 1940s, on the weekends and adds to the experience.

Filetto's in Commack is a well-run Italian-American restaurant with delicious pizza, pasta dishes, and friendly service. My overall customer experience is very positive. The restaurant's convenient location, specials, and live music on weekends make it a worthwhile option for casual dining or a family outing. Go and enjoy, one of my "new"...

Just wanted to give a special shout out to Filetto's of Commack on Commack Road. We had a bridal shower there for my niece last Saturday afternoon and it was absolutely perfect in every way. First, planning with Vinny was great. He was so nice, patient with all my many questions, and was willing to accommodate anything we asked for. Our server that day, Jennifer, was great! Hardworking and always had a smile! So sweet. Everyone could choose whatever they wanted off of the pasta night menu - which had about 15 different choices. Food was DELICIOUS and plentiful enough that everyone took home leftovers. Extremely reasonably priced. They let us come in early to decorate - and happily stored our celebration cake without charging a cake cutting fee. Can't say enough good things about this great restaurant and the staff there. This place rocks! I’m here for the week on business and my clients recommended Filetto’s. I was greeted by the friendly staff and quickly seated. On day 1, I ordered the Salmone Saporito , which was a broiled filet of salmon in a creamy seafood pink sauce with asparagus-and it was amazing! On Day 3, I ordered the delicious crispy, breaded Shrimp and Chicken Monachina,in a portobello mushroom Marsala wine sauce topped with mozzarella with a side of Fettuccine. Both entrees were fantastic and served quickly. The restaurant was very clean, tables were bussed promptly and service from Annette and Amanda was exceptional! I dined next door and local residents raved about the food but I found it to be underwhelming and servers ( except for April) were very cliquish and not as friendly. I’ll pay another visit to Filetto’s again...
