ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !! WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD AND HOW GOOD IT WAS ! I ordered a lobster roll and Swordfish ! It was just Amazing. Prices are super affordable too (range $14-$30 seafood being in 20s - 30s and the rest being under 20). Rooftop dining is very hard to be seated out due to the popularity of the this very spectacular restaurant but downstairs is just as good ! The lobster roll is basically lobster salad on a wonderful roll ! I’ve had lobster rolls in the past and non of them can compare to the wonderfully made one I had today. Fries are cooked to perfection as well ! You may come across a burnt one or two but it’s expected lol but definitely amazing fries. Oysters are beautifully plated, burgers are a very nice size ! Swordfish is cooked to perfection ! A long with your trip you may experience a wait for seating (ours was only 15 mins) and also a wait for food (20 mins) but at the end it’s all worth it. Staff are on the friendly side I’d say. They do charge for water in the beginning, $6 per bottle (not little Poland spring but a nice size for your party) choice of sparkling water even (same price as regular) Overall a amazing experience and definitely a place I will keep in mind when I’m...
Read moreWe, four fussy eaters, dined on an off-season Friday night. We ordered cocktails (all excellent), a Seacuterie appetizer and two Paellas for two. While we had to ask for some of the accompaniments, the staff cheerfully hopped to it. The paellas were supposed to include a variety of seafood plus chicken and chorizo. They must not have had the chicken and chorizo. Instead they came chock full of large shrimp, crayfish and lobster. Who could complain? It also took a bit long for the paella, but without any complaints or squirming on our part....cocktails make everything better...they brought each of us a bowl of possibly the best chowder any of us have had in a long time! That is old-fashioned hospitality and we truly appreciated it. Everything was delicious and we all plan to come back soon. Hope the vibe holds for the in-season. Fish dishes (whole fish) seemed a little too pricey but not if they are big enough to share...we didn't check that. Recommend sitting upstairs if available. Big, nice...
Read moreINCREDIBLE dining experience! If you are a seafood lover and don't come here for lunch or dinner when visiting Greenport or traveling through the east end of L.I you are depriving your palate and stomach of one of the best tasting and exquisite combination of flavors and cuisine my family and I have ever come across. Pictured is just a few of the selections we had including the watermelon salad, lobster, mussels, fresh fluke filet and a Rum cocktail that just scrapes the surface of the menu here at Anker.... We were a party of nine having a weekend getaway that were accommodated very professionally and gracefully by the manager and staff at this establishment... the upstairs deck was full, but we sat inside downstairs with open windows and candlelight..... (it was a wonderful private like dining experience) Again, if you are looking for fascinating flavor that comes to life on a dish you could only imagine, walk through the doors here and satisfy your craving...
