Great to see Dâlatte replacement and wish them luck.
Stopped in over the weekend which happened to be their first weekend. While I understand and sympathize with opening pains⊠hereâs my feedback on what needs work.
Service needs work.
First day I went in⊠ordered few pastries and a bacon egg cheese sandwich + americano. BEC was $3 and I was charged for cappuccino at $4. I didnât bat my eyes. In comparison to literally EVERYTHING else on East End this is a steal.
Went back a 2nd day as I enjoyed my coffee. Got the BEC again and Americano again.
However my gripe⊠I was charged $8 for my BEC and $3.25 for âespressoâ. My gripe is why did I pay more than double the next day for a sandwich and way less on my coffee?
This may be a training thing but charging me whatever you feel is not how youâre going to win my business or share this experience with anyone in town. In fact, this practice will deter me from encouraging anyone from going.
This needs to be corrected immediately.
What I also didnât like or appreciate. When I went back on the 2nd day I stood on line patiently, quietly waiting to order. The owner had his friends parading inside treating me as an obstacle. One friend got on line behind me and was served a coffee immediately. At least this friend apologized to me and said that he knew the owner I didnât think anything of it. Owner didnât even acknowledge what he had just done or apologize. I continued to wait for the guest in front of me to pay so I could place my order.
The guest in front of me finishes their order another one of the owners friend hops on line behind me with his kids, and what irritated me most was that this friend not only yelled in my ear to communicate with their family but treated me like an obstacle again cut in front of me and was screaming yet again in my face, asking his family what they wanted to eat, then realizing his own mistake But didnât have the audacity to apologize yet again the owner yet again witnesses this and didnât offer an apology.
Itâs great to to have your friends come support you and your business and I love that for anybody, but I donât appreciate when your friends are cutting me in line and then yelling and screaming in my face and in my ear while Iâm patiently waiting to order and treating me like Iâm an obstacle and I donât exist and youâre witnessing this as an owner at least have the courtesy and the decency to extend an apology as well
Everybody loves supporting a small business on the East End but small tokens of appreciation like this goes a very long way and hence why my mediocre rating.
Iâll give this establishment one more opportunity and hope I see a major improvement not only in service, but in common courtesy, respect and pricing.
ââ- Year later update
Seems like their service got worse. None of the employees seem to know whatâs going on, on any given day. You order one thing and either they donât hear it to ring it up or they give you something entirely different. No organization. Lack of communication skills.
Shouldnât have to wait 15 minutes for my muffin once I order and pay for it.
Owners very notably missing. Should prob be here during peak season, peak hours to guide and train these young women and expedite a little faster. How can you run a successful business by being absent?
Food is subpar this year...
Read moreWe receive this recommendation as a place to visit when coming to Greenport and I must say itâs a MUST. We came twice during our trip.
Itâs a cute upscale bakery/eatery. The vibes are immaculate. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
I got the chai tea latte, lemon poppyseed scone, and the avocado toast with bacon. OMG. Everything is a 10/10. The chai is perfect. Not too sweet but still very spiced forward. The scone was not too dry and all the right amount of sweetness. The avocado toast is to die for. The avocado is perfectly ripped, the jammy egg has me questioning my egg making skills, and the chili crisp adds a nice kick without it being overpowering. The bacon I added add an extra layer of protein which was perfectly cooked. My friends got a ham and cheese croissant which I tasted and wished I got one to go.
Overall, this is an outstanding place for bites that are filling and delicious. I canât wait to try their...
Read moreWhile visiting Greenport, I stumbled upon this charming café and instantly fell in love. Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich paired with a cinnamon bun became my go-to breakfast combo, and the coffee? Absolutely amazing.. smooth, strong, and perfectly balanced.
But letâs talk about their croissants! I tried the ham and cheese croissant, and it was next-level. Topped with everything bagel seasoning, it was perfectly flaky on the outside and soft on the inside... a total game-changer. Do not miss this one; itâs seriously special.
The staff was warm and friendly, and the cozy decor made it feel so inviting. I noticed they had donuts, but they were sold out when I visited. (Apparently, they make a limited batch each day, so getting there early is key!) Itâs one of those places that feels like a hidden treasureâhard to leave and even harder to forget. If youâre in Greenport, this cafĂ© is...
