Sweet Dreams Organic Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Woodstock

This is a warning for people with tree nut allergies. I want to make people aware that this ice cream, or at least the mint chocolate chip, is made with cashew milk. I feel as though it was not marked well enough in the shop or mentioned by any reviewers when I looked it up online. I urge there to be a larger sign stating this very clearly in the shop, that is if one has not already been added after my incident. I was unaware of what the ice cream was made of (even after reading the menu), had 4 licks and ended up going into anaphylactic shock. There’s a lot I could say about that day, but just to sum it up, it was scary. I was grateful to the employee that came out to the ambulance after being contacted by my out of state parents in order to give them information on what was happening. Wow, I generally don't write reviews, but I was compelled to after having an amazing ice cream experience there and then when I looked up the place to tell a friend about it, I came across this other ladies review saying there wasn't enough SUGAR! I had to write something. OK, firstly I think this a completely bunk opinion, maybe that lady is just used to corn syrup and ice cream chains, ha! But then for her to bring an incredible new business down with 3 stars because she needs more sugar, is just INSANE. I found Sweet Dreams to be such a worthy and delicious addition to the Upstate ice cream scene! Who doesn't love a summer treat, and if you care about what goes into your body, organic and non gmo sourced ice cream is a dream come true! And trust me folks, the ice creams (and i think I sampled 5 of them!) are all decadent and plenty sweet! The people there are also incredibly nice and they play...

This was the weirdest experience I’ve ever had at an ice cream shop. I walked in with a group of friends excited to enjoy some ice cream after a hot hike. The man behind the counter must have been having a terrible day, because he had an annoyed/apathetic attitude from the moment we walked in. Each time someone tried to order they were informed - bluntly - that what they wanted was unavailable (this included toppings, cones, and shakes even though all of these things were on the menu). For some reason, my double scoop order was served as two separate singles and I was charged extra for having two “single scoops.” The ice cream was okay…nothing great. Sadly will not be returning.
