Upon entering Espresso Bay the atmosphere was nice, neat, but not welcoming. The doors were wide open and 4 customers were seated on a couch. The barista was busy making their order and another employee was mopping. Neither said anything to us. We walked to the other end of the counter and back. Still not being acknowledged. At this point I thought maybe they were closing so I walked back out of the store and read their store hours. They were closing in 15 minutes. The female employee mopping eventually stopped and took our order. My wife and I ordered cherry smoothies (which were excellent) and a danish. We are always respectful of closing times and decided to sit until they closed. Somehow my wife spilled her smoothie on the floor prior to closing. Immediately the female employee who had mopped looked at my wife, rolled her eyes, and walked away. I approached the barista who was taking another order, explained our accident and offered to clean it up. She gave me a wash. At that time the other female employee returned with a mop. I apologized to ear as well and offered to clean up. She ignored my apology, said nothing, and began cleaning.

We would have gone back the next day for another smoothie (it was that good), however, the employee who rolled her eyes was working again when we walked by...

Espresso Bay is a fantastic coffee shop that truly stands out in the Traverse City area. Their attention to detail in crafting high-quality beverages is evident in every sip, and their friendly and knowledgeable staff only adds to the welcoming atmosphere of the shop. I wish we had one in the local Detroit Area.

The Peppermint Crunch Chip Cold Brew Coffee I ordered after breakfast at The Towne Plaza was the perfect morning pick-me-up. The refreshing mint flavor combined with the rich coffee and crunchy peppermint chips is a unique and delightful combination that I enjoyed thoroughly.

Beyond their exceptional beverages, Espresso Bay also has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes it a great spot to relax and unwind--especially but the massive stone fireplace. The comfortable seating, warm lighting, and charming decor create an ambiance that is perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done.

Overall, I highly recommend Espresso Bay to anyone in the Traverse City area looking for a top-notch coffee experience and a unique array of coffee and non-coffee drinks. From their delicious drinks to their inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, Espresso Bay...

I hate to post negative reviews but i like to keep the public informed. I went to splurge on myself on a cup of iced coffee with cold foam using oat milk. The second i tasted it the oat milk i could tell had been expired. It immediately separated and tasted and felt like cottage cheese on your tongue. Very unsafe for your health to drink expired milk products. I spent $8 on a cup of coffee just to pour it down the drain. After i left work i wanted to let them know that they should check the dates on their milk products and the staff looked at me like oh whoops or like they had no idea what i was talking about. I had picture evidence. I decided to go back so i could just get one of their flavored drip coffees "specified upon ordering" with room for cream (then put my own milk in at home). They then put just regular medium roast in my cup which is fine.. but again not what i ordered. I have had a couple similar experiences at this business. I will continue to doordash coffee to my work from now on. I suggest you do the same. I don't know whether to blame on inexperience or just...

The coffee at espresso Bay has a unique taste, the idea of alot of flavors is a good idea. As I usually try a shot of espresso first to get a more flavor distinction. I am unable to give a statement. The shot had deflated by the time I got it. Decent workflow, but with line out the door to much going on. They need a workflow they stick to no matter what; This would prevent the loss of coffee quality.(shot deflates in 30 seconds) overall The Americano is good (earthier) they have triple shot in a 16oz(standard). This neat establishment is super busy, the quality of coffee isn't horrible. Will have to try more another time. Jess: The Iced Matcha is WILD. This tastes like no matcha I've ever had, and I'm not sure what to make of it. The matcha still hits you in the back, but mostly it's Carmel? Brown sugar? And there's granulars of that on the bottom of the drink. They call it sweetened matcha for a reason. This would pair well with something savory though like a crep where we headed next was crepes and co

20oz latte and blueberry scone. Delicious artisan and freshly roasted coffee. Blueberry scone freshly baked and lots of blueberries! What a delight. This is what a coffee shop should be, a variety of seating that invited conversation and plenty of outlets to charge needful devices. A menu that does not over extend itself but keeps in mind it's customer base, artisan coffee, baked goods, smoothies. A great selection of freshly roasted coffee products to take home and enjoy daily. Ps outlets to charge devices....big plus for me
