Exploring Greater Detroit’s Sweet Spots šŸ° Bakeries, Dessert CafĆ©s & Bubble Tea Shops

This place has always been good to my friends and to me. The prices are set accordingly to what you're getting quality wise. I've been to many mochi and boba places that were not my kind of style-either being underwhelming with flavors or tasting like a candle/nothing but sugar. This place is awesome. I'll admit at first I thought the prices they are asking were a bit steep compared to other shops/ donuts in the area but the promise of good quality food was given. Plus as I thought about it the teas are compatible to a fancy coffee in the shops. I'm not sure what they put into the Salted Caramel mochi donuts but please don't tell em to stop. These things are SO delicious and dangerously decadent! I find myself not even questioning $8 for three of them. Each bite is a melt in your mouth exsperace with new notes of sweetness from the glaze to the donut melting as you chew. The caramel drizzle is just enough to bring in a bit of salt to the sweet that is just amazing! Haven't been able to find something to hit that caramel craving but I have finally found it! My sweetheart enjoys the purple taro donut they are a more gentle sweet with a bit of unique flavor of its own. The winter melon tea paired with either of these mochi donuts are fantastic. My partner enjoys the starberry drink and mentioned that it was very good as well. The little teddy bear ear lids are a cute touch on the drinks too. šŸ’› Every time I have gone here it's been a great experience with the staff and the environment of the shop. They ask you your preference on drinks as well as which donuts you're looking for. Any questions I had asked they did have an answer kindly letting us know all about the flavors. Cute clean place to stop in and treat yourself. We plan on being back soon. Special thank you to the staff behind the counter always being so kind and thoughtful of customers and treating them right. Too many places lately have been letting go of good service/ quality but not this shop. :) From one manager to another you have a great staff and wonderful shop. Thank you guys for helping make my day a little sweeter for date nights. 10/10.

This is a slightly confusing place. I get the impression they want you to order online, which would be easier, except they apparently give you very specific flavors you don't get to select. However, if you go in, you can pick your flavors. The odd thing is if you go in, you don't order at the counter. You order at one of two kiosks. Now, if you know what you want, great. Things go quickly. If you don't, and you want to browse, you hold up any line waiting there. So, a bit of a darned if you order from the kiosk, and darned if you don't since you may not be able to pick out your flavors. The donuts themselves are amazing! I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite, though I love.the orange creamsicle. Absolutely delicious. I also tried one of the strawberry drinks with the cheese froth. Also very good and lots of fruit in there. The folks at the counter were polite and very nice. I'm honestly not sure why you have to order from a kiosk, though. As for the decor, it reminds me of a place in Vegas where people go to get married. Odd experience overall, but worth it for the donuts.

Just stopped by. The place is very cute and has an extremely strong early 2000's girl power sort of look which is both nostalgic and a little too corny. The girl up front was very friendly and charming. The computer kiosk upfront had a lot of loading and glitching problems when we were using it and it's annoying using to order things like drinks which is much easier to do with a barista then a kiosk that's glitching because it can't handle loading all the ingredient options.

The drink liquid ratio was AWFUL, I had more pulp into my bobber tea then actual tea. The ice kept getting in the way and I could hardly get any bobba into my straw. While the bear/cat caps are cute, they heavily restrict moving my straw to even drink this concoction. They really need to fix their ratio, start mixing the drinks more, or get larger cups because this just ain't it. There's a lot of bubble tea places in the area that do far better for less money.

The doughnuts were a very mixed bag in deliciousness depending on which unique flavor you got. I definitely give them props for a nice crunchy outer doughnut, nice chewy center it was a perfect balance for the doughnut itself. The unique flavors like popping champagne had great fun and flavor. The bubblegum definitely tasted like double bubble and the fruity pebbles met my expectations. The funnel cake however had way too little powered sugar and it felt like just getting a poor man's powdered doughnut, fully coating the entire doughnut is my first and foremost suggestion. The taro had very little taro flavoring. And the Pistachio could had benefitted more if it was covered in more nuts.

This is a very new business and they are definitely trying to chase the Crumbl cookie model. But I don't think I'll come back, it's very pricey ($15 for a half of dozen doughnuts). The bubble (or ahem) bober tea needs a lot of work on its ratio, and I already know of multiple doughnut places and bobble tea places that does everything better and are closer to my home. This was a fun drive out for a one time experience, but this business has a lot to work out with their product if they continue to plan on rotating their doughnuts every...

I'd heard about the delicious Matcha and mochi donuts at this store several months ago, and was looking forward to finally trying them. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that the mochi donuts are not gluten free, they use 90% mochi flour and 10% regular flour. That was disappointing. (I've been to stores where the mochi donuts are totally gluten free and delicious, so I know it's totally possible.) I ordered a matcha boba tea with chizu, which the menu described as a house made cheese cream. I chose 50% sweet as I do not care for very sweet boba drinks. (Side note....the only way to order is on a large touch screen. I would prefer to see a menu on the wall or behind the counter.) When our drinks arrived, we were smiling at the cute plastic lids with ears. They looked delicious. However, when I took a sip of my matcha with chizu, I could barely swallow it. It was horribly sweet! I wondered if they had made a mistake and given me 100% sweet. I went back in and told the woman I couldn't drink it because it was so sweet. She explained that the chizu is made with condensed milk and therefore, adds a sweetness to the drinks. I wish I had known that before ordering, the menu mentions nothing about the chizu being sweet. I asked if she could replace my drink and she said only if I pay for another one. I had already spent nearly $10 on this one drink including the tip! So I asked to speak with the manager. When he came out, he also informed me that they would not be able to offer me a new drink. Terrible customer service! When I lived in California, I frequented a boba tea store there and a few times when the drink was too sweet, they happily replaced it for me. So between the poor customer service and the non gluten-free mochi donuts, I will not be going back. Thankfully we found another boba store nearby with fabulous, friendly workers, who serve their tea in...
