I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this establishment. After hearing so much about it, I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered, I think they're called chicken bites, a chicken sandwich, and person I was with got a burger. And shakes. Shakes were great. Chicken sandwich was tiny. It is nothing any normal adult could eat and be mildly full, even with fries. The chicken bites were good except you get 6 and one was mostly breading which tasted terrible. I asked for ranch and barbeque. They said... Uh we don't have ranch... We have something kind of like ranch with buttermilk and mayo and herbs. I asked her politely if she was aware that she just listed the ingredients to ranch. She seemed perturbed. Its so stupid. They have this unfinished version of ranch with more mayo than buttermilk which ends up being this bland, thick sauce. They serve it on the side and then it sticks to the Ramekin. They didn't even give me the bbq, and gave me a tiny bit of not ranch. They give you a buzzer to come back up and get your food. This thing starts buzzing all over the table so I go back up to the counter and stand there, just myself and the expeditor. While I wait I asked for more ranch. That was a mistake. I got another employee telling me they looking puzzled and explaining they don't have that, so I had to list the ingredients of ranch to her, then she got it. So I'm up there for about 5 minutes because the food isn't even ready but I guess they thought it would be brilliant if I stood up there anyway, and the expo just sat there and didn't even ask what I had or ask the kitchen what they were waiting on.Then this little kid walks up to the expo and says I got this burger with sauce. I ordered no sauce. So he says ok just stick it in the trash and I'll get you another. Without hesitation the kid whips it in the trash. I couldn't believe it, what a waste. I'm not one of those people that whine about wasting food but that was just stupid. And it teaches that kid bad habits. Anyway If you like these kinds of places and your ever near Flint, stop at freakin Unbelievable Burgers on Corruna. Its just like shake shack. Even have alcohol like them. Its the best and shake shack doesn't hold a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I order pickup about once every couple of weeks or so for a quick dinner after work. Because I cannot tolerate gluten, I am always testing out different gluten free buns and such. I have to say that these are the most delicious gluten free burgers from a fast food restaurant out there. They are toasted most of the time and made to taste exactly like the real thing, and that is basically the only reason we come back time and time again. Let me tell you -- their hospitality here at this location definitely leaves much to be desired. It comes to over $45 for four burgers and some fries, so this definitely isn't the place you want to go if you're ballin' on a budget...okay, no problem. Is there any sort of rewards program for loyal guests?.... So when you show up to pickup the order you placed on the app, they now have the front door blocked off with one employee both taking orders from random people walking up, as well as dozens of people scattered around waiting to pick their previously placed orders. After I park my car in the structure all alone, I walk up and can clearly see the bag with my name on it just chillin' on the table with about 10 other bags waiting to be picked up. I tell the gentleman that I can see my bag on the table and ask if he can simply hand it to me. He tells me to hold on and proceeds to ask the random people placing the orders the attention, while ignoring me for 10 minutes because there are so many of them. 20 minutes go by and I finally ask again, he hands it to the wrong guy but the guy walks away before realizing it. After the man realizes it and brings it back to me after sitting in his car with it for five minutes, I request a new order be made for hygienic reasons. Finally after waiting 30 minutes for my order to be remade, I get home and realize that they had forgotten one of the fries. Not wanting to go thru the hassle of everything all over again, I go hungry for the night and I am not sure we will ever give them our business again. I understand the whole closed entrance thing due to the COVID scares but there seems to be a better way...
Read moreIt's not every day that I vouch for an establishment that serves crinkle cut fries, but this place is an exception. Why you ask? Simply put, their crinkle cut fries are superior to pretty much any other fry that I have had of a similar style—though still inferior to non-crinkle cut style (normal) fries. If you take my advice and grab up the fries here, doctor them up a bit with the offerings they have (you won't regret it).
Now that the fries are out of the way, let's move on to everything else. I want to start this out by saying that I have only ever gotten take-out from here, and what I have had here overall is incredibly good—so I imagine that dining in would only increase the quality exponentially. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Shake Shack produces some of the best quality chain style sit down food that's served fast that is available around here. It's not fancy, it's just plain good.
Though there is actually a fancy element involved here, and it's probably not what you're expecting. The design and layout of this location is quite impressive. It's very modern looking and the design overall is very appeasing compared to many other comparable eating establishments in the area. Those of you that have been here, know that it's in a very busy corporate area, so the fact that it sticks out among other places to eat opens it up to a ton of office based lunch/dinner traffic, which obviously for them is good.
When all is said and done, if you wind up here, you'll find friendly employees, good quality food that you receive fast (but isn't technically fast food) as you sit down and eat while enjoying yourself in a modern updated environment. I would also expect a wait if you're planning on eating at a typical dining time.
Lucky for you, it's worth...
