Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Trussville

This has to be the absolute worst Jacks anywhere around! We came in and ordered our food. When they had our food ready I asked for some jelly to which the rude woman behind the counter said “is there not any out there”? So we went to sit down and couldn’t find a clean table. But managed to clean one ourselves. The biscuits were very over baked, the eggs were dry, and horrible, the grits tasted very burnt! My sister found a hair in her biscuit. She took it to the counter to get a new biscuit. She said that she knew it wasn’t my hair or hers as it was a black hair. She is a red head and I am strawberry blond. The woman behind the counter said that it couldn’t have been their hair because they were wearing hair nets. The crew found this hysterical! After my sister got her biscuit and was walking back to our table, the whole restaurant could hear the crew laughing and making fun of the hair in her food. Not sure why they found it so funny!!! The crew was having a great time laughing and cutting up. But couldn’t clean, stock and make sure the food was prepared correctly!

After we left the restaurant we called the restaurant to get the district managers phone number. We got the woman who was making fun of the hair in the biscuit. She refused to give the phone number and she claimed she was the GM.

We’ve tried this location several times and I can guarantee each and every time you visit this restaurant something about your order will be wrong. Want a deluxe breakfast that comes with hash browns? You won’t get them. Tonight we tried this location again and it was the final nail in the coffin. I ordered the new wings meal…I wanted buffalo sauce and they gave me bbq. I hate bbq sauce on wings and they were breaded but soft, it was gross. You’d also think that a wing meal would come with a cup of ranch, especially since there’s even one in the photo of the meal - nope. They don’t even care to ask you if you want one. My husband wanted a large fry and gave him a small. It’s a joke at this point. If you order no pickles this place is bound to give you extra. They never ever read back the order to see if they got it right and guess what - they didn’t. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It’s a waste of...

It’s always an issue at that location. And I give them grace because every time I go in there it’s busy and I understand they can be short staff.

But… They’re either arguing with each other or just look super unhappy to be there. And today was no different. I place an online order that was scheduled to be ready at 9:50 am. Didn’t come out until 10:07 am which to be is fine, except during the whole time I was waiting, In front of the counter. No one said a word to me.
