First few times were really good experiences. Lately coming here it's been really bad. I started coming to this location because it was closer to my house and on my way to work. Well this morning, I placed my order like normal on the app to pick it up. Walk in the store to grab it, but it wasn't ready which isn't a big deal. What bothered me the most is, I saw the barista making my drink (which at first I didn't know it was my drink) and she seemed lost. She put it in the blender and left it there for a while. Another barista was asking me what I was waiting for and I told her and she was looking for it. Once she found it, I saw her grab it from the blender (which was sitting in the blender for a minute) and gave it to me. I was bothered because I was late for work but I really didn't wanna seem rude and rush them to make my drink because they were doing their jobs too. I'm just bothered because once she started my drink, she stopped, grabbed the headset and started working drive thru and didn't communicate to anyone that she was making a drink or asked if someone could finish since she was moving to a different area. If I knew that was my drink I would've said something or even questioned it. I get it, it's busy in the mornings and people are wanting coffee for work, but at least finish making one drink before doing another task or communicate with someone about finishing it. Oh and once I got the drink it was definitely not made right. It was missing the cinnamon dolce syrup and barley any strawberry puree which was frustrating. Once I asked about it, it was too late at this point because I was running late and couldn't wait for another drink. I thought this location would be great because it's new and it's right by my house and on my way to work but...

Read moreThis location recently relocated a couple of months ago, moving into the old Burger King location just next door from the old spot. I think this current review still shows the old address at 1400 Gadsden. This review is really about the new space as we know SB is basically the same, regardless of the location.
Overall, it’s a fairly large space inside, but I don’t know if they utilized it properly. The majority of the tables are “small” round tops, which doesn’t give you much room to spread out if you have a laptop and also need space to write. In the middle of the space there are cute, low slung chairs, but I’ve watched several people, old and young, struggle to get out of them. The tables are also placed really low. I get that they probably set that space up for engaging as opposed to working. But, they could have at least used tables that were more conducive for working.
There’s not a ton of space for large groups, but there is a large table in the back. There are a handful of square tables pushed together to seat four people.
There are ample places to plug in regardless of where you end up sitting. There is a nice patio outside with good seating.
My only other issue is that it closes at 8 pm, which seems too early. There aren’t many places to go if your studies or group meetings go beyond 8. So keep that in mind as you look for evening places for your groups that...
