Today I visited the restaurant for lunch with my sister and nephew. The beginning experience was Great we placed our order for Hibachi my sister then asked to change her order to add chicken with her steak. The cook verified the order prior to cooking in which we asked for only chicken to be added for the baby which is two. The cook then presented his show and when he was giving out portions he placed a very small portion of fried rice on an empty plate that was placed in front of my nephew prior to him putting it on the plate we said no only chicken. He contimued to cook the food there was also a lady with two little girls at our table she told him that one of the little girls only wanted rice. He still placed chicken and vegetables on her plate after she instructed him not to. So he cooked the meat and disbursed it placing an amount on the same plate in front of the baby. We ate enjoyed conversation with the people at our table then the checks were distributed . On the check we were charged with a full Hibachi meal for a two year old in which we only asked for chicken to be added to the steak which would have made it a combo. This is where the service turned from pleasant to HORRIBLE. We spoke with the gentleman that took the order and asked if he could adjust the bill to say steak and chicken combo or just charge us for a side of chicken. He then went and spoke with the cook we then went to the front to speak with the manager we were very nice to her but she kept insisting that we ordered a full meal for the baby we explained to her we told him we wanted chicken added only, she pulled what he wrote which we could not undersrand we again asked her to adjust the price to a combo she then asked for the container with the chicken and tiny portion of rice that was in the to go conatiner and put it in the trash yelling, snatched the ticket and took it off. AT THIS POINT I WAS FURIOUS.......SHE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I ASKED FOR MANAGEMENT INFORMATION they said the owner was in China and refused to give any other information. I then asked the manager that threw the food in the trash for her information she stated her name was Ida and would not give me any other information. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I VISIT this establishment. Managrment is very rude and unprofessional. I will find the owner as well as report to the Better Business Bureau. Because of the actions of the manager you lost a loyal customer. I refuse to patronage an establishment thatbtrears their customers in this type of manner. VERY...

Introduction: The hostess was nice, greeted us with a smile and she let us know we had about a 3-minute wait for the hibachi. She showed us to the waiting area and she seated us within the 3 minute time-frame she gave us.

Welcome: Our waiter was very kind and friendly. They were both equally professional and always wore a smile.

Ambiance: The restaurant was clean in the lobby/dining area. The lighting was dim. The hibachi area was brighter. It is always nice to sit at the hibachi table to see your food cooked right in front of you.

Food: The hibachi chef was very nice and cooked with a smile. Everyone received soup and salad. As an appetizer I had vegetable dumplings. The taste was bland, but the sauce gave it a little more flavor. I ordered the salmon (forgot to ask if it was wild or farm), brown rice, and mixed vegetables. I received 2 pieces of salmon. The food was good but due to it being cooked in a considerable amount of oil my body had a negative effect shortly after eating it. My son ordered the same dinner I ordered. He liked it and had no issues from eating it. My daughter had steak and salmon she enjoyed her meal, and her main complaint was also the amount of oil used.

Price: The food was worth the price and the portion sizes were more than satisfying.

Will return: I will return when I am in Georgia again, but I will eat from the menu in the dining room area not the hibachi.

Stars: Five, although I had the stomach issue the food was good. My children said their food was good, too.

Tip: When dining at the hibachi table just keep in mind cooking on the open grill the food will be cooked in oil. If you do not consume oily foods often your stomach may have a negative effect.

Experience: I had dinner with my daughter and son, and we all enjoyed our time dining at KOBE’s restaurant.

Downside: I did not use the restroom. I always like to inspect the restroom even if I do not have to actually use it. How a bathroom looks can say a lot about a restaurant’s sanitary ethics. Oftentimes a ‘dirty bathroom indicates an unclean,...

This rating is specifically for the service received tonight or should I say the lack thereof. Totally a long a story but I’ll make this as short as I can. I eat here at least 20 times a year. It used to be more. Don’t judge me! Lol!

However tonight was a nightmare not only for me but for other customers for the same problem I’m about to share. My name was put on a 30 minute wait list with my phone number. My elderly mother and I waited inside of course because people are known to not receive calls while waiting in the car. 45 minutes later I walk up to the reservation booth to see where my name at is on the list. They tell me that they called me 4 minutes prior to me asking. I informed them my phone never rung and showed them my call history and no one bothered to call my name which is their norm. I received no apology from the woman who was making phone calls but not letting the phone ring long enough to let the vmail come on, just rudeness and silence. So I asked a gentleman who was also at the booth, if they just called me 4 minutes ago shouldn’t the 2 seats still be open? The man informs me that they gave it to other ppl who just walked in. Great!

They then tell me to wait another 20 minutes while their telling everyone else walking in it’s gonna be an hour. Now obviously 2 ppl can’t sit at a hibachi table by themselves so already it’s sounding sketchy. They finally call us 30 minutes later only to sit us at a table with a party of 20 split. Of course I asked the lady which table will the chef come to first because we’ve now waited 1.5 hours and she said ours. Of course that didn’t happen, so we got up and left.

Btw… there were 2 other parties tonight that experienced the same thing while we were there.

Please DO BETTER or just don’t let the lady work at the front booth. I give grace but she was...

I’ve been coming to this Kobe hibachi for years. THIS IS BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE ! First I walked in at 9:58pm.. they do not close until 11pm so I expected to be able to receive grill services; they declined even when other people walked in saying it would take 20 mins to warm the grill because others tables are full which I’m confused on how that doesn’t work when they close at 11pm. .. I was not going to stay hence why my ticket says 10:21pm serve time but I end up sitting down to eat at a table. Okay secondly.. the waitress/bartender MAYA IS A TERRIBLE WAITRESS. worst customer service I’ve received at Kobe’s.. literally asked for payment in the middle of eating.. it was not even 11pm and refused to serve us afterwards. She actually end up leaving before we did. Her co-worker told us that she left and he would not bring us to go items if we didn’t tip him. Very ridiculous. Actually very comical. I will not return or refer this place to ANYONE no longer. But it was very empty for a Saturday and I MOST DEF see why. I would rather go to NAKATO HIBACHI OR Benihanas.

UPDATE #2: (August 2025). It has been a year since I have eaten at Kobe's. Today, it was even better. I had Shrimp Tempura Roll; Spicy Salmon Roll; and the Edamame (soybeans) as an apetizer. As always, I love the ginger and wasabi... they always bring me fresh wasabi as well. Excellent! My bartender (Ida) was amazing. Very attentive; let me try some samples. I ate there around 1:30 PM. I added one more photo. I highly recommend. UPDATE: I have eat here many times. This is my recent trip (March 2024). It was very good as usual. A very big restaurant, plenty of seating, a big bar, freindly staff. Love the "typical" dark ambience of a Japanese/Sushi restaurant. The Edamame is delicious. Steamed and seasoned with sea dalt. Very fresh. I had the spicy tuna and avocado sushi rolls. They were prepared well and tasted great. Also, it had sliced ginger and I ordered fresh wasabi (not the paste). It is difficult for me to give a 5-star rating as that indicates perfection. However, the food here is very good. I recommend highly.
