Arizona | Tucson: Foodie Recommendations in the Desert Oasis 🌵

This place is a real treat for breakfast or lunch. During the evening the cafe switches to a dinner menu and the restaurant, that offers fine dining, opens and offers dining in the same shaded courtyard or indoor booths. My wife had the quiche of the day, which was mushroom, and she really enjoyed it. You get a pretty substantial slice of quiche and a side salad. I had a cup of curried carrot soup that was great. It’s isn’t spicy hot, the word curry simply means a mix of spices. I also had a chicken salad sandwich which was accompanied by a side salad. The sandwich is served in thick & toasted sourdough bread. This was certainly a substantial lunch that will hold us over while we visit the nearby Arizona State Museum. The food is a bit pricey (we spent $58 total plus tip), but it was very tasty, fresh, and made from scratch. The courtyard was also very relaxing and the shade & misters kept us cool. Give this place a try if you’re down in the university & museum area.

A precious patio dining experience. The food is delicious and some of the best I’ve had in Tucson. Staff is lovely. But here’s why I give it 4 stars: I’m not someone who thinks large portions are the mark of a good restaurant, but I was quite shocked at the “bowl” of soup’s diminutive portion for $10. I thought it was a mistake. The suggested tip (for counter service) at checkout is 25% minimum - calculated *after* tax (which I really recoil about because it should be before tax) - made this 8oz of soup NYC priced. I think after numerous unsuccessful attempts to eat here after 2pm, I finally understand the complexity of their offers. Google isn’t updated with this info and even their website is incomplete. So here’s the rundown: No food 2-3. Light bites 3-5. Regular cafe menu 5-9. Drinks available all the time.

Coronet is a charming café that has quickly become my go-to spot for a relaxing coffee break. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere, complete with comfortable seating and tasteful decor.

The menu at Coronet is fantastic, offering a wide variety of coffee drinks, teas, and delicious pastries. Their cappuccinos are perfectly crafted, with a rich and smooth flavor that never disappoints. I also recommend trying their homemade croissants – they are flaky, buttery, and simply irresistible.

What truly sets Coronet apart is the exceptional service. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They are more than happy to make recommendations or customize your order to suit your preferences.

In addition to great coffee and food, Coronet is a wonderful place to unwind. The ambiance is perfect for both working on your laptop or catching up with friends. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area, which is perfect for enjoying a sunny day.

Overall, Coronet is a true gem in the café scene. Excellent coffee, delicious food, and a welcoming environment make it a must-visit. Highly...

I spent over 30 dollars by myself. However, there is a caveot to that. I ordered a brunch cocktail. So let's start with that. The ryeish latte: is a play on the Irish coffee but using rye whiskey(was told the name was Sazerac). It's a decent latte on its own but that rye gave it some nice grain flavour to it that I don't see in an Irish coffee normally. So that's fun. It ran me 12 dollars.

Eggs Benedict (with brisket, full size) The holidays was pretty mild but well seasoned. The egg itself was cooked properly. Which is good for me because I suck at making them at home. It was placed on top of a square hash brown and came with a cucumber salad. It had some sunflower seeds, and what I believe were sweet potato chips as a garnish. The salad was a little under dressed. But I was there for the eggs Benedict, the salad was a bonus to me. This place is pricey, and a little hipster (what is hop water?),but it was yummy. So I can't complain too much. The staff answered my questions politely and without effort. Wish I could tour...
